2025 has been the year that I've been getting more and more into cooking. In previous years, I would mainly just use the combination of a microwave (for vegetables) and an air fryer (for meat) to cook my meals. Part of my expanded interest in cooking has been watching various cooking television programs, and I was wondering if anyone wanted to share some of their favourites?
Some of mine are:
Lidia Bastianich - host of "Lidia's Kitchen", among others.
Her shows tend to focus on cooking for and with her family, as well as giving anecdotes on her life and what cooking has meant to her.
Adam Liaw - Host of "The Cook Up"
His show features celebrity guests who share recipes they use in their everyday lives.
Honourable Mention to "Is It Cake?" on Netflix
I don't normally like those competition-based reality shows, but this one is oddly wholesome. Plus, I just love watching the host, Mikey Day, cut into things and seeing if they are cake. It's oddly satisfying, and I want that job. Like, 90% of the show for me is just the build-up to when they cut into the potential cakes.
So, yeah. Anyone feel free to share some of your favourite food/cooking based shows!
