No introductions needed, just give your facorite scenario and/or gimmick in a game

Per usual OP starts

Levels where you are in the sky but you are on foot, be in a fotress or soaring in a giant flyer's back
Favorite uses:
Tengu Man (Megaman 8)
Sky Batalloon (Freedom Planet)
Skyship scenes (Any Super Mario game that has them)
Proppelekr knight (Shovel Knight

I really love water themed levels ik that might be controversial lol

Only thing that might be possibly more unpopular are escort missions/levels

For me: (I know this is cheating a bit 😊) My favorite level is level 252 which is
the level cap in Skyrim that I'm aiming for.

I may not have a favorite but I always dig Snow and and Forest levels especially when it's paired with a great bgm. Same goes for levels made with flesh mostly in horror, RPG or action games.

For me it's anything Egyptian or Beach themed. HERE.WE.GO!

I'm not a fan of sonic, but this particular level is something I sometimes revisit to replay, and only it. It's probably the best five/ten minutes of gameplay Sega ever produced. A feat they can't seem to replicate for some odd reason.

Industrial levels.

Not the most common level type but the mood is immaculate.

I love them so much I put them in my own game :^)

The Balrog in strider 2 is also a great one

Really iconic, I love that section where you run down the building and the camera shifts perspective. never get tired of that bit.

I've always been a big sucker for train levels, with the one from Wario Land 2 being one of my favorites

Any kind of level where you do some mini levels to open a sort of lock in the main level, such as Swordman's stage

Anything that involves sand and a sunset
You must love the game "Journey"

Levels where you have to interact with the background or foreground to progress. Things that require you to think way outside the box and solve puzzles or problems in creative ways that you can't just brute force your way through.

Levels where you can destroy some parts of the environment which kinda deals some damage on enemies or boss alike.
