What're your favorite Wii or Wii U games?

For my favorite Wii games, I'd say Animal Crossing: City Folk, Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

As for my favorite Wii U games they would be Mario Kart 8, Super Mario 3D World, New Super Mario Bros. U and Super Mario Maker.

Super Paper Mario, love it to bits
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was a pretty good time exploring Hogwarts
No More Heroes

Captain Rainbow is a personal favorite, I've never finished it because it wasn't translated back when I played it but I strongly encourage anyone here to give it a try, it's what I can only describe as Nintendo's very own SEGAGAGA moment. A self-aware title that pokes fun at the company itself and features an array of 'forgotten' Nintendo characters among others in a very bizarre, offbeat comedic adventure with a plethora of bizarre minigames and surprising cameos.

Pretty generic answer but mario galaxy. I didn't care for sunshine, would even say pretty much every big ps2 3d plat is superior to it, but galaxy blown me away. One of the last nintendo releases I actually loved.

Sin and Punishment Star Succesor
Tatsunoko vs Capcom
Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles
Muramasa The Demon Blade
Xenoblade Chronicles
Super Mario Galaxy
Donkey Kong Country Returns

To be frank I don't hold the Wii era in the highest regards, but I can't lie and say it didn't have its share of gems and still held some of that spark gaming used to have.

Way too many ...

Pandora Tower
Last Story
Epic Mickey
Sin and Punishment
Punch Out
Final Fantasy Crystal Bearers

More recently thanks to the translations : Earth Seekers and Captain Rainbow

From the wii:
Super Smash bros brawl
Mario kart wii
Mad world
Boom blox
and Pokemon Rumble (emulated)

From the wii u:
Pikmin 3 and Smash from wii u
(I literally only had those two games because they stopped selling them around here)

For Wii? Kirby 20th Anni. Dream Collection. Got it for my B-Day one year from my papa and I just love that game and Kirby for that matter.
Wii U would easily have to be Xenoblade Chronicles X. Really good game and I'm glad it's getting a Switch release soon. Honorable mention goes to Twilight Princess HD since that game really got me to like TP and whatnot.

Favorite Wii game is easily Tatsunoko vs Capcom, with Opoona and Endless Ocean: Blue World being up there too.

Can't think of a specific Wii U game that hit especially close to me, but I like Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and 3D World a lot atleast.

In wii: Pandora Tower, Xenoblade chronicles, The last story, Zelda Skyward Sword, Madworld, sin and punishment star sucesor, the wii version of Fatal frame 2, RE umbrella/Darkside chronicles, Trauma team, Fragile Dreams, Zack and Wiki and Another code R

Wii U: Wind waker HD, Splatoon, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Smash 4, Fatal Frame V, Pokken and Rodea the sky soldier

wii u was truly an underrated console, performance/output wise, was easily on par with most of the games, that ps3 and xbox360 had, basically, simply comes down the the fact they did not effectively convey what the console actually was. The console's name and the way they advertised it were the primary things that caused its downfall, smh

anyway

lets see some amazing games, this console had

in no order

- batman arkham city: armored edition
- majin's third, by itagakaki
- the wonderful 101
- ninja gaiden 3: redge
- bayonetta 2
- fatal frame 5
- watchdogs
- deux ex hr: director's cut edition
- zelda: breath of the wild
- hyrule warriors
- tekken tag tournament 2
- the amazing spiderman 2
- ac: black flag
- one piece: unlimited world red
- splinter cell: blacklist
- re: rev1
- hokuto no ken: ken's rage 2
- xenoblade chronicles x
- transformers prime: the game

what about you? were you fan of it? and if yes, what games you liked?

and several games were enhanced/had new gimmicks just for the wii u (from this list here)

I liked it. My main games for it was Hyrule Warriors, Smash, 3D World, MK8 and BotW.

funny enough, the wii u was where i first played super meat boy. i didn't have a computer at the time, and the wii u was my main console. i beat that game for the first time using a wii u gamepade, which i think is kind of funny.

besides that, i played a lot (and i do mean, a LOT) of Mario Maker, and honestly? i went back to the original wii u version just to mess around in the level editor recently, and it feels WAY better than making stuff in mario maker 2... the wii u feels like it was built for something like that.

i also played a ton of virtual console stuff, particularly the DS games since those were hard for me to emulate when i was younger, and i didn't know how to mod a 3DS at the time. one thing i always loved about the Wii U was its virtual console lineup, you could play every nintendo console up to that point on one console (even if the N64 emulation was... um... shoddy.)

recently though, i downloaded a game called Affordable Space Adventures, and that's a super cool exclusive. it's the kind of thing you really couldn't do on any other console, not even the switch, because it uses both the gamepad and the tv for two separate purposes. it's pretty cool, and it's developed by one of my favorite indie devs, Nifflas.

ah, i wasn't aware another thread was made, i aint got time to read all of the older threads, carry on then

Mentioned it before but Munchables,; It’s so comfy to me. I love the visuals and music so much, the whole aesthetic makes me all warm and fuzzy. the game play isn’t hard, but it’s simple and fun, enough to keep me engaged.
