Location
Yui Hirasawa's House
Is there a favorite location in a video game that you've played and you just hung around that area without bothering to do anything else in the game for a few minutes?

I would say some of mine that I like are The Roost from the Animal Crossing games, as well as own house in the games as well, along with maybe the Milk Bar in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.

Monster Hunter World, I'm glad Capcom made this game so open and with an option where you can just chill around, watching the nature and monsters you know (except when that Pickle arrived)

Most recently. Astro Bot. The main hub world is just so freaking cool. I spent a couple of hours showing family all the PlayStation cameos.

Rayman 2 has plenty of places like that. The beginning of temple of water and ice comes to mind. Once the enemies are defeated is just a nice, calm beach.

I remember taking plenty of breaks here before I got back to adventuring (Ocarina of Time).

I also recall hanging out in Zora's domain sometimes just to listen to the music.

City of tears or dirt mouth from hollow knight, I can sit in that bench all day.

Vice City, man.

Particularly that first area near the beach... I still fire up the game just to drive around it, because it's THAT familiar to me.
Me too. I've always loved games with a beach/tropical setting. They're always so beautiful and vibrant.
So obviously, I easily fell in love with Vice city.
(Also can't forget about the game's absolute banger of a theme song).

Majula from Dark Souls 2 is probably my current favorite. There's been a couple times where I've just left the game on in Majula and flopped into bed for awhile. The hubs from the other Soulsbornekiro Ring games are honorable mentions.

The music in the police station lobby from Resident Evil 2. One of the best tracks in the series. Speaking of Resident Evil...

The save rooms. Always a giant feeling of relief when entering one of those. Much time has been spent idle, just soaking in the music. Resident Evil 2 and Code Veronica X have my favorite songs.

The hamlet from Darkest Dungeon gives me the same feelings as the save rooms do. It's just a chill place with relaxing music that you can take your time in to get your shit together after the stress train the rest of the game is. x)

Next up has to be the theme for the town Seafront in Nier. One of my favorite tracks in the series. I remember standing on the beach looking out into the water and just leaving the game playing.

Okay, that's enough for now. I DO have more and I WILL be back later. ::smirk1

The holy forest, from King's Field the ancient city, while terribly melancholic and a tiny bit eerie, it was the only place in that game with a semblance of peace.
In the same game, I tend to constantly return to the child and her ill mother.

Back when I played Ragnarok Online, most cities would qualify as great places to chill at (except the capital Prontera because EVERY SINGLE MERCHANT in the server set up shop there and the town always lagged horribly and had people constantly moving back and forth, teleporting and whatnot. Very noisy.

I'll share one of my favorite town songs from that game:

+1 for Majula. Best hub from any FROMSoftware Souls

I'll add Yokosuka from Shenmue. Yamanose, Dobuita and Sakuragaoka are incredible maps, even if they are a bit small.

And Okinawa from Yakuza 3 is peak modern SEGA Blue Skies

Yessss there's been more posts so I can spam another five!

It's not a location, but the party roster menu in Final Fantasy Tactics. Good thing the song is awesome because you're gonna spend a lot of time in this menu. x)

Hearing this song is always a fucking huge relief. The nights can get super intense and this is the perfect song to lower your blood pressure after. It's another song that you'll be hearing a lot of and often, so it's good that it's a banger.

Continuing with the wonderful feeling of a safe room, Lone Survivor is up next. Why would you ever leave your room with this cozy song playing?

My favorite ambient track in the whole series. Yes that's all there is to it. It's another song where I've just left the game on so I can chill to it. Really I should just stop mentioning that because that's the entire point of this topic. x)

The vibe is much different from everything else I've posted thus far, but I can't skip this song. It's a goddamn bop and you bet your ass I take as long as possible to beat a stage when it plays.

I want all ffxv map i will live in there its gonna be cool like the beach and fighting monsters

Islands in Animal Crossing, sometime I visit people's island that has cool vibes.
My room in Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity, the cities on Phantasy Star Universe are chill too.
The entirety of Steambot Chronicles, especially Neuhafen, heck I even have daily schedule how I go about my day everyday.
Your base in Disgaea 4, although mine is just straight up secret Sentai team base.
Also my house in Terraria, it's inside the eye visor, the villagers are on the cloud just right above, not captured here.
