You know how sometimes games would hint at something bigger, then stop short of providing an answer just to tease the player? What are your favorite examples of this sort of thing?

Mine are the "Christmas party" in Grim Fandango (which apparently embarrasses Manny to no end) and whatever the "incident" was on Sam & Max that resulted on them being banned from the upper floors of their own building.

What about you?

After returning to Donkey Kong country returns (no pun intended) I always loved the the different stuff and overall design of the backgrounds. one thing that just struck me is in the ruins level why is there a literal giant monument of the og DK holding a giant Wii remote, but if you look closer it has a tie like modern donkey Kong.

Sam & Max, my 2 favorite f r e a k s

That's like FromSoftware's whole storytelling model hehe I got the most into Elden Ring's story, so like any number of things from that.

How the fuck the damn time loop started in Final Fantasy I, i mean i get that Garland gets defeated in the present literally in to the past, he becomes Chaos and sends into the present the Four Fiends, but they never explain how the damn thing even started, talk about Egg and Chicken

Yeah in Full Throttle, there's a song called "Increased Chances" where some guy sings about the apocalypse. Full Throttle takes place out in the desert and everyone is either part of a bike gang or driving a hover car. The bike gangs all fight each other with crazy weapons like Mad Max and even have advanced tech like boosters or special Cavefish goggles that can pick up dots in the road or find secret caves on the old mine road. What are the Cavefish, anyway? Were they survivors who lived in caves their whole lives and became sensitive to the sun? They also have some bizarre looking bikes where they have to lay on their stomachs with their faces being just inches above the pavement. But the whole game just screams post apocalyptic wasteland where biker gangs rule the road. Of course there's still the rich elites, Ripburger being one of them. But those guys would always find some way to survive a nuclear fallout. The song "Increased Chances" plus the setting and the characters tells me something more happened before the game. Tim Schafer denies this. He said so himself that it wasn't apocalyptic, but the fan theory has existed since the 90s. I'm sticking with it too.

The biggest mystery in KH would probably go to whatever is in the Black Box that has yet to be answered that's clearly gonna be something big later along the way whenever a new KH comes out, I'm sure not even Nomura knows what's in it till he has to actually do something with it. For the time being though, every appearance so far has just been a little ey remember this little thing : )) so I'll always give it that.

I'm pretty keen on more KH 4 info. Given the franchises track record though, who knows if we'll even get answers to that in 4? ::eggmanlaugh

Tbh the real question is if we will ever see KH 4 come out lol.
Yeah. What was it? one of the mobile games got cancelled? I guess I can hope that means more people working on KH4, but that feels a tad naïve on my part

Panzer Dragoon's Ancients.
Their mythology is so obscure, some fans drag Skies of Arcadia into it.

If you're going to do the tired progenitor race trope. Make them visually distinct & for the love of God don't show them. Panzer Dragoon passes both those checks with flying colours.

Their remnant constructs are entrancing:

Q from Street Fighter 3 3rd Strike. This whole character is a mystery.

His arcade ending implies he's obviously some kind of threat since he's got the CIA trying to track him down, and he's been pictured at crime scenes all across the world. Some of his moves and mannerisms imply he may be a robot or cyborg of some kind. Just everything about him is a mystery, and Capcom have never explained anything regarding him.

Braig is the Master of Masters. I'm calling it right now.

I was obsessed with the small hole in the right of the picture as it actually look like you can go inside there... There is a skill you learn later in game that help with that.

Yeah the mobile game got cancelled (Missing Link reference sadge). Shame too since they put a good amount of time on it before it was decided to cancel it, we can really only hope that KH 4 is being focused on much more. Definitely didn't help much that Nomura wanted to focus on a Verum Rex game as well but he decided to just focus on KH 4 instead lol.

Golly I love that song “my mamas face has drip down into the dirt, but I’m still chasing chitlins whiskey and skirt” goes hard. I play that song on almost every sunset during a chill day.

Shin Kamen rider 2023 was basically a Shotaro Ishimori version of that 2020 movie Scoob. Almost every aspect, plot line or reference or return of to a character lshimori created is in there for some unexplained reason. Another thing is why is Kamen Rider the first main theme so goddamn wholesome? I was expecting the theme to be some sort of remix or heavy metal guitar version of the original Kamen Rider theme. But you cannot believe what went from confusion suddenly transformed into comfort when I first heard this. Ever sense then I’ve been in love ❤️💖.
