This can be anything from friends, enemies, frenemies, or even rivalries that evolved from one category to the other over time. Even though I'm posting this in movies & TV, you can include anime, cartoons, comics, and video games too. Here are some of mine:
Buffy Summers/Faith Lehane - From friends to enemies to...sort of friends in an uncomfortable way, to enemies again, etc. It's been fun seeing this relationship develop throughout the original show, the Angel spinoff, and finally reaching a conclusion in the comic books. There was originally only ever supposed to be one slayer in existence at a time and when that changed it felt like fate put these two on a collision course.
Robby Keene/Miguel Diaz - Robby is my favorite Cobra Kai character and it was interesting seeing this rivalry play out on the show with him being the real "Karate Kid" and Miguel embodying Cobra Kai.
Kakarot/Vegeta - Classic shōnen rivalry that continues to this very day. The commoner vs the prince. The path of angels versus the path of destruction. They are friends now but still keep trying to out do each other.
Darkwing Duck/NegaDuck - You might say that NegaDuck is a straight up antagonist rather than a rival, but they completely mirror each other in every way.
Zuko/Azula - This one had been simmering (see what I did there) throughout the Avatar series and really got paid off in the finale
