Like the topic says, if you had to choose one favorite Pokémon per generation (as in, the one they first appeared in), which ones would it be?

There are no restrictions, so pick whatever you wish, I limited myself to not pick starters/legendaries, but you don't have to do the same if you don't feel like it!

After thinking long and hard, and eventually reached this conclusion myself:

Post automatically merged:

I'm only familiar with Gen 1. Bulbasaur was my boy
On AliExpress I bought a fake-funko-pop keychain of Bulbasaur <3 Shame I can't find them again, though.

So slick, in fact, that I'm going to steal it for my own post! P-O-K-E-MON (Party!)! I only know up to Gen 5, though, so it's not gonna be comprehensive. ANYWHO...

Haunter (I hardly know 'er!)
Sneasel
Sableye
Mime Jr.
Cofagricus (He's go-go-ghosty!)

My favourite type, as you've now probably guessed, is Ghost (though I like Dark and Ice ones a lot, too). My ultimate favourite Pokemon EVAAAAR is Sableye, because I think he's cool and I like the thought of a little phantom friend that literally eats diamonds for breakfast. (Cofagricus is a close second, and he has a very funny word hidden in his name that got him banned off the online trading system back in the day.) I generally prefer Pokemon that are more like monsters or ghosts than just standard animals or objects.
