If you've ever owned any of the many Nintendo consoles, which were some of your favorites?

The ones that I have owned over the years include: Nintendo 64, GameBoy Color, Gameboy Advance, GameBoy Advance SP, Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Wii and Nintendo Switch.

My favorites would be the Nintendo 64, (my first video game console), GameCube, (as I liked it design and there's a lot of games that I liked on it), GameBoy Color, (being it was my first handheld that I owned), GameBoy Advance SP, (because it had that backlight to it so you could see if you played at night), Wii U, (since it had the gamepad and that's cool) and of course the Switch, (as you can play it as a handheld console too).

That's pretty much everything they made ::lol
They are all good, except maybe the Virtual Boy.
I'll choose the Wii U cos that's what I own now and I can play all previous systems.
And I like the Wii motes and balance board. Get some exercise done.

The GBA and 3ds for sure!
Their libraries alone and the breadth of awesome titles make them to of the best consoles/handhelds ever. Add to that they're backwards compatible with the previous generation's games (so is the DS, which was more popular than both, lol) so much amazing!

I'd have to say a close third is the Wii U. Great games. Kinda a black sheep. But if one is crafty and looks into CFW (tiramisu is amazing) you have a system that'll play, with ease, the entire Nintendo catalog up to that point.

As far as sheer amount of good games release on it, I would have to go with the SNES/SFC, that is in my opinion, Nintendo at their prime both on sheer first and third party output.
Just thinking of all the great games on it, MOTHER 2, Super Metroid, FFVI, Chrono Trigger, Yoshi's Island, etc. It truly takes the cake for me.
I have a particularly soft spot for the NES/FC but I wouldn't consider it my favorite, and the N64 has plenty of great games despite its considerably smaller library. I will admit, I haven't cared as much since the Wii U and even the Wii already had a sizable drop in worthwhile exclusives.

The Super Famicom/SNES was absolutely magical in the best period of video games. But you have to have lived through that era to feel it.

NES was good, SNES had the best library overall, grew up on the N64, Gamecube had some really solid games too and the best Game Boy Player, really you can't go wrong with their first 4 systems.

I own them all except the rare stuff. No game and watch, no Virtual Boy, not each gameboy model, but I have all the generations.

Someone fixed Jack Bros. and made it full color in an emulator, but he never released it. There's footage of gameplay on YouTube though!
I don't know what Jack Bros. is or what its about as I never heard of it before.

I don't own them all but it'd be cool to.

My favorite is Super Famicom /Super Nintendo, then Family Computer Famicom /NES. I have a soft spot for the original Game Boy and more recently Nintendo DS. But that's where my affection for Nintendo ends.

The NES/Famicom for nostalgia's sake.

The Gameboy Color because it introduced me to Pokemon.

And the DS because it's honestly really awesome.

It's a spin off of Shin Megami Tensei and Persona starring Jack Frost and his demon buddies in a top down action puzzle game. Atlus made it. It actually released in the US and is super rare.

You missed a lot of good games.
I honestly wouldn't have known if I have or haven't missed out on a lot of good games. As I said in some other post on here, there's going to be a lot of games that I've never heard of before, as most people that I was friends with probably never owned any of the games mentioned to me on here. I grew up only owning Nintendo consoles, which I never owned any of the PlayStations, Sega consoles or even way older consoles then those and I wasn't a PC gamer back in the day either. You'll probably be in for a huge surprise with me, since there's a lot of games that I don't know about.

Ok well I'm not gonna force you to play any Shin Megami Tensei or Persona games because those are some LONG role paying games unless you're into that sort of thing, but Jack Bros. on Virtual Boy is short fun adventure with fun characters and a really good soundtrack. :) It's also the perfect game for Halloween.

I've played through Gauntlet: Dark Legacy on the PS2 emulator and beat the game on the 21st of this month, so I think that's good for me.

I've owned the NES, SNES and Game Boy. I left them at my parents home, so I'm not sure if they got thrown out or are stored somewhere. I also own a Wii and a DS and they are still in fine condition. I also have a Switch and I must say the drop in quality is alarming. Nintendo consoles used to be extremely durable and the Switch joycons are so flimsy and low quality.

I did rent the Virtual Boy from blockbuster back in the day. It was an awful experience. I played for about 2 hours on my dinner table and my eyes and neck hurt. It wasn't very ergonomic.

Over the years I have owned N64, GBC, DS, Wii (well, this belonged to my kids), and Switch. I think my faourite of them all was the DS, so much so I just bought a 'new' DSi XL to revisit all my old favourute games. Currently halfway through Phantom Hourglass and loving it.

SNES followed by GBA. I think a lot of people remember the N64 with rose-colored glasses. Outside of Nintendo IPs there wasn't much worth playing on that system. Most people can't recall a single third-party title on that platform. It was probably the only Nintendo console in which first-party titles were the main selling point almost exclusively. I had one when I was a kid and remember wishing I had my PS1 back (it had died less than a year of owning it).

People say the Wii U was a black sheep, but I had to disagree. It was welll known for its failures and there's not much on the system outside of first-party titles and a few indie games that made the console worth while. It was the only console I ever sold that I ddin't regret later on. I did eventually buy another, but only to hack and play Wii and Wii U games off of a flash drive. Let's not get started with the gamepad wireless module failing in many units. It's a ticking time bomb.

I also love the original Wii. It's the only modern Nintendo platform outside of the Switch that I really played a lot. It had so many games and finally had great third-party support. Of course, it had more shovel ware than you can shake a stick at, but there were some quality titles on that system.
