I’m really bad at actually remembering lgbt chars (specifically ones from games I played) but I do have one moment I like.

Spoiler: GTA IV story spoilers

Niko had reunited with a friend from the army after he mistook him for the guy who killed all his friends. Shortly after he finds out that he’s gay (his name is Florian), and Florian is afraid that one of his acquaintances wants him dead, who also happens to be a politician that Niko also happens to have heard of. Niko criticizes the politician for being homophobic which was a really nice and wholesome moment. It’s cool seeing that in a game.

I’ll also only mention Yosuke because his removed dialogue in persona 4 to Yu really touched my heart. Some called him a Fujo bait but honestly i just love the guy. He’s my favorite persona character and would be nice to have the romance option.

I wonder if implied nonbinary characters would be worth a mention, because I believe NiGHTS would count but that was already mentioned. I think Testament from guilty gear is confirmed to be nonbinary but I’m trying to think of games I did play.
Celeste is a great example too as mentioned in OP. one of my favorite trans characters actually, I wish I was into hardcore platformers but it’s not a genre I was particularly into.
AHHH yeah. I dunno how it took me long to mention undertale has a lesbian couple. It’s a shame that it’s two characters I can’t stand. No wonder it never crossed mind.
Life is strange is a walking lgbt representative and a healthy one at that so again, it’s a shame I’ve disliked all 4 games thoughrougly.

Yes testament is definitely enby. Their official description constantly uses “they/them” pronouns on top of the fact they’re meant to be gender-defying in the general.
Y’know what, good chance to mention Leo from tekken. Leo is confirmed multiple times by Harada to be intentionally gender ambiguous. Unfortunately we don’t really hear Leo comment on this as the intention by the creator is to just keep it a mystery as a way to defy gender norms. I think “non gender affirming” definitely falls under nonbinary in some way and it’s a pretty valid gender-queer identity imo.

Blue Reflection 2 has a wonderful little story for the end of act 2 involving these two girlies.

They're very cute together, but I'm not sure I'd call them representation as such; the story is strongly genre fiction oriented for yuri otaku. Yuri of absence vibes everywhere dude lol.

They are non-binary, and more interestingly for me, asexual. Not aroace; just asexual. There's basically no alloace rep out there (I count Okabe Rintaro as such, but I'm aware that's an uphill battle I don't care to fight), so I instantly got attached to them for that reason. It probably also helps that they're the best written character in the game.

Gnosia's cast being full of queer characters is awesome. The designs, too. Sci-fi works set in such a far/advanced future really should have lots of queer and transhumanist characters more often. It kinda went out of style in the 2000s which sucks, like, what happened lol?
