I have the Indy jones warehouse scene gif that I use a lot to make jokes about my "backlog" of games,
and It got me thinking. " Man, that scene was really EPIC!" What would be one or a few of your favorite
Eric or Iconic movie scenes?

Once again, for me Indy's warehouse scene is Iconic, heck it is still burned into my mind and
I remember it EXACTLY 45 years later.

"GOODBYE ERIC!"

The piano coming in afterward while the mc is laughing is the cherry on top.

Probably generic choices, but either the final act of 2001: A Space Odyssey,
[/SPOILER The Third Impact/the rest of The End of Evangelion] or the prologue of Disney's Up. The first two have this interpeitive wonder to them that's still discussed to this day while the third is a bittersweet display of a romantic relationship from childhood to elderly age that still gets to me to this day.

I bet the guys who made The Onion were watching Robocop 1, saw the satirical news scenes and were like 'man, let's just make more of this!" This one from the sequel is my favorite though.
(funnily enough, Robocop came out in 1987, the Onion started publishing in the following year... )

This one was pretty cool too. When I was a child it really made me think...

The one that comes to mind is Willem Defoe's "Hark" speech in The Lighthouse. Almost everything he says in that movie is captivating, but I'm glued whenever he starts this speech.

Youtube won't let me integrate this one into a post, but here's the link if you want to see it yourself:

"....Like a doll's eyes" Man you got me with Jaws. I grew up by the beach in New Jersey, USA.
Jaws gave me nightmares for years, you could thank my parents for letting me see it. The 70s were a different time.
I love this movie and nobody ever talks about it. Great Daniel D performance. As usual.

I was going to give you a boo, thinking "no Robo 1's stuff was better". Than you hit me with the
"prototype ripping its own head off" scene. One of my favorite scenes of all time. Nope, PEAK Robocop there

Ok just hear me out. I wouldn't call anything from this movie iconic, HOWEVER I do LOVE WD and I never really liked RP till is saw the Lighthouse. This is a GREAT movie and NO ONE talks about it.
There was times I was laughing, crying hell there were times I didn't know what to do. Give this movie some more time to sink into the social zeitgeist and it will be there.

I’m usually don’t have a stand out favourite so I picked a couple I like

Opening of 8 1/2

I like the ending sequence in 8 1/2 when everyone gets together. It's unbearably wholesome.
I love that part too, I try to resist looking up cryptic meanings and think about it instead but I still don’t fully understand most of it haha

The ending to The Truman Show

Thought you were saying iconic on a personal level. A misunderstanding on my part.
