Favorite Fighting Game Characters

I rarely play fighters these days. The only ones in recent memory that looked interesting to me were Dragon Ball FighterZ and Diesel Legacy the Bronze Age. I loved the genre back in the 90s though and I played some of the Dragon Ball Z Budokai games in the early 2000s too because I like DBZ. So here are some of my favorite characters from back then. Siegfried (played "Soul Calibur 3" on ps2, put hours and hours into it)
Christie (yes, her again, as in every comment I made on fighting games)
Leon (I was sorry he's not in DOA5 but I liked him being in DOA Dimensions and DOA2)

Used to play Street Fighter III 3rd Strike a lot on Fightcade. Phenomenal soundtrack and opening animation. Game is a masterpiece of design. Also Akuma is my all time favorite fighting game character in terms of story, appearance and gameplay.

I'd have to say Yang from Third Strike is a personal favorite. I have some other favorite characters, but I wanna save the spotlight just for Yang. Despite being the "lesser" of the two brothers in terms of character strength in the game, Yang is actually an INCREDIBLY solid pick. He's used really often in tournaments as well. Being a frequent tournament character, its proof that Yang isn't just a "lesser" of the two brothers. Yun with Super 3 (Geneijin) is uh. A character. Certainly a character.

Anyways Yang is sorta underrated imo and I think he's neat both visually, personality-wise, and gameplay-wise. Rekka characters are an endangered species in the modern fighting game landscape!
