Are there enemies you love to fight? Or enemies that just look damn cool? Well, whatever the criteria is, post them here!

The various Knights in Zelda II - Fun to duel with

Sligs in Oddworld games. They are just hilarious, and it's fun to mess with or kill them

Foot soldiers - The variety of different ones you face is what keeps TMNT games interesting and killing them is so much fun

Guards in Mark of the Ninja - Thank you devs for making terror a thing in this game. I love tossing ravenous insects at them too, especially if another guard sees the bugs in action. Muahahahah

Aces in Valkyria Chronicles - Finding them is fun, and then figuring out how to actually kill them. They sometimes leave behind a cool weapon too. You're essentially hunting down the strongest soldier on the battlefield, which is cool, and these are characters with a history and reputation behind them.

Koopa Troopas in Super Mario Bros. Because it's always hilarious trapping them in their shells, sending them flying around to hit other enemies, or knocking them OUT of their shells

Playing a lot of RPGs over the years, I've developed a soft spot for those "hard to kill" enemies that net a lot of money/exp if you can kill them.

Metal Slime being probably the most famous example:

It is fun trying to find or spawn enemies like that and then hope you can kill them before they disappear. I never played an actual Dragon Quest game, but I did farm those guys in Dragon Quest Heroes and I can think of similar enemies in other games. I think Octopath Traveler II had the Cait enemies.

I'm not sure if Metal Slimes were the first, but they're the ones I think of first anyway. I was farming them in DQ Heroes 1 earlier this year hehe

Yeah, I think they're almost a trope in RPGs at this point. A Dragon Ball RPG on the DS even had a mechanically similar enemy.

- This little fuckery devil called "Adoring Fan" ruins your The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion experience until you manage to kill this twat!!! Some says he is the hardest boss to beat but to be able to beat it you leveling up your character is not enough, you gotta level up your own sense of morality as a player to!!!!:

- Damn the Controller in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games, even fucking up me GPU lol:

This the enemy type that can kill the player by making your PC explode!!! lol

- The Drag Queen Yui Tachikawa in Racing Lagoon taught me that the law of physics is not a limitation but a tool to use it in my favor to do whatever I want by showing me his "fucking up law of physics driving style"!!!! lolol:

I made it look easy but this shit is harders racing game boss battle I ever experienced lol.

- It may be my favorite boss batle in video game history because there are 2 bosses work together to hunt you down in "perfect harmony" so it took time to study their attacks to find their weakness, and then they change their attack pattern according to whiever one you killed first. I don't think any other game nailed good at "2 bosses, decent AI and decent fun fight" thingy:

- I have love and hate relationship with this boss battle and this video is great summary of the deal of it lol:

- There was many enemies in games was very memorable in their own context but this one takes the hugest part of the cake, Monsoon I'll never forget every pieces you RIP lolol:

Off the top of my head, I love these little scamps from Blood.

Maranax Infirmux and Crudux Cruo for life.

Oh and Benny! Who could ever forget Benny? Concussed king.

Off the top of my head, I really liked battling the black/silver/golden knights in Dark Souls. I still remember the first time I saw the black knight in the Undead Burg. Pure dread. Eventually they turn into 'Oooooh free XP/stuff' which is great design.

Omoikanes from SMT DDS are also very cool. They're kind of puzzle/chance enemies that give you big money/XP if you get their elemental weaknesses right. I generally like the treasure/loot enemies in RPGs but something is so gentle and endearing about the SMT 'brain monsters' at least in Digital Devil Saga. Cool enemy to fight.

He might be pretty pathetic as a villian overall but Cross Stitch's laugh is infectious
