Favorite Dreamcast game

Sonic Adventure 2 remains my favorite game of all time to this day.

Aside from that, Skies of Arcadia, Ikaruga, Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, Resident Evil(s), Sonic Adventure 1, ChuChu Rocket

I would say Jet Set Radio but the controls have aged so horribly to me. So my pick is either Dead Or Alive 2, Crazy Taxi or Space Channel 5 Part 2.

Super Lesbian Animal RPG
Ah yes, skies of arcadia, good one, lesbians and furrys, BUT it's not my favorite, my favorite one was and still is to this day...Sonic Adventure 1, YES Big and everything.
Sonic Adventure Gamma GIF

Also...Gamma is my favorite character.

Let's try and put together a list then :)

Games I loved back in the DC days and still go back to and play:
- Psyvariar 2 - tho the PS2 version is ever so slightly better in terms of gameplay, DC version has faster loading so I often default to that when my DC is out
- Cosmic Smash
- Cannon Spike
- Trizeal
- Rez
- Zero Gunner 2
- TriggerHeart Exelica
- Bangai O - I haven't touched it on original hardware ever since I got the RG406H emulation handheld because I can finally map shooting to a right analog stick.
- Project Justice
- Dead or Alive 2
- Fighting Vipers 2

Games I considered favorites in the Dreamcast days:
- Berserk - I know it's a jank game, but it was my introduction to Berserk and I love it
- Grandia II - a certain scene near the end still sticks with me even tho I've largely forgotten the story and a replay is in order
- Skies of Arcadia - I never finished it on DC and the GameCube version is superior minus the compressed music but overall it's a much better experience
- Shenmue I and II - tho not games I'd ever replay, I adored them when they came out
- Ecco Defender of the Future - I don't think I could play this anymore it had some very tedious moments, but the atmosphere and visuals are still amazing
- Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 - I gave SA2 10/10 in a magazine I wrote for back then....looking back the game is so jank I don't know how I was not only able to play it but play it to a point where I'd consider it a 10/10
- Rayman 2 - not exclusive but that's the version I had

Skies of Arcadia/ Eternal Arcadia. I played that game at a time in my life when I was feeling depressed, but Vyse and his crew gave me back hope.

Dreamcast is my favorite console for fighting games. Soulcalibur, Dead or Alive 2, all the Capcom stuff(the vs games, Project Justice, Power Stone, Tech Romancer), Garou, Virtua Fighter 3TB

Grandia II was also great.

And I would like to highlight this gem

The game had it's flaws but it was so cool

I've been through a lot with the Dreamcast, high school, multiple houses, countries, and after all that time with the thing, I still can't pick just one game...lol.

Spirtually it'd probably be Shenmue, very important game to me in many ways.

Gameplay and aesthetics though, either JSR or Rez.

My most play time definetley goes to all of the fighting games though, CVS2, Darkstalkers, JoJo's, and Puzzle Fighter.

Cannon Spike is my favorite DC game no question. Definitely not the best but surely my most played. Still working on that 1cc though haha.

MvC2, Power Stone and Soul Caliber get honorable mentions.

Cannon Spike for Dreamcast is a Nice Arcade Perfect Port but The bad thing about this version is that the credits are limited (4) to pass the game and 4 credits are not enough for me it would be nice if the credits were infinite but I prefer the Sega Naomi version because it has free play mode in service mode and so I could keep trying until I passed it.

For me the Most of Sega Naomi's Arcade Perfect Ports because it's like the AES versions of Sega Naomi But on your doorstep.

As a side note. I've never played Phantasy Star Online, but have always heard people praise it. Is it still playable today? Either in some single player capacity or online still?

Probably a tie between Jet Set Radio and PSO for my #1 favorite. Zombie Revenge, Sonic Adventure, Airforce Delta and RE: Code Veronica are all great though, and if you got a keyboard and mouse for it Quake III, Unreal Tournament and Typing of the Dead were pretty sweet.

Why yes, it is.

You can play it online on private servers. SP is more convenient if you're playing Episode 1&2 on Dolphin or a Wii (the later could go online via Action Replay I think).

On the other hand if you've played PSU, PS Portable and PSO2 it will be a bit rough to not have any of the fancier techniques like jumping, using Photon Arts, having a blocking/roll dodge like in Portable 2 onwards nor a full cam with the joystick but the game is basically like Diable but with a view from behind and the gameplay is more about placement and pace/rhythm (while juggling between weapons depending of the situation).

Top 3 would be Phantasy Star Online, Sonic Adventure 2 and Jet Set Radio. The first two I played as ports on the Gamecube but I think it still counts.

Other favorites include Crazy Taxi, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Power Stone 2, Project Justice, Rez, Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Sonic Adventure, Soul Calibur, and Space Channel 5.

Honorable mention! Haven't played Virtua Fighter 3tb yet but I assume I'll love it just like every other entry. VF doesn't miss.
