What are some of your favorite dinosaur video games? They can be new or old. Good or bad. Doesn't matter as long as they have those big prehistoric fellas.
Here are some I love coming back to occasionally.

Does Monster Hunter count?

If not than Primal Rage was the coolest thing growing up:

That one arcade ending where the T-Rex devours all of humanity messed me up as a kid.
I think fictional dinosaurs can count. Primal Rage is a nice choice I should play it more.

Does Monster Hunter count? It would be cool to play as a monster in monster hunter
A lot of the monster hunter monsters take inspiration from dinosaurs so I think that counts.

View attachment 23651This game had the potential to be Rareware's magnum opus, but unfortunately it was canceled and turned into a much less interesting game, at least the prototype of this game was leaked online.
It still hurts that Miyamoto was obsessed with the idea of turning it into a Star Fox game. At least even with the Star Fox reskin they could keep the rest of the game the same. But nope: they had to turn Krystal from a playable character into a damsel in distress and remove many great gameplay ideas of the original "to fit better at Star Fox universe". Usually I'm more than fine with damsel in distress characters but not at this case since Krystal was originally meant to be a fully playable character. While from business aspect it ended up more profitable because of the Star Fox brand but still I would prefer it as Dinosaur Planet. The only good thing with the Star Fox reskin is that they turned Krystal more sexy and iconic from design aspect.

super quirky and fun rpg. feels like a saturday morning cartoon type anime, you know the one: yugioh, pokemon, digimon. fossil cleaning and battles are both super fun and interesting with great depths if you want to master them

this game is all about evolution, you learn a lot of the different species and types. You can try to keep most species alive for millions of years or bust and watch as they become extinct!
