Cartoons are pretty known for their holiday specials, so I figured it'd be nice to share and reminisce about them.

I've always particularly had a huge soft spot for Garfield holiday specials, especially Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. And if you count it, Mickey's Christmas Carol is my favorite animated... anything.

Also, can we talk about how amazing the Hey Arnold Christmas special is? That's like a whole step beyond.

I have a very boring take but: Peanuts and Madeline
Immense sense of comfort and relaxation seeing those two at Christmas, if you mix that with a day watching Studio Ghibli movies, you achieve nirvana.

Definitely Christmas, I love every single one of them. But my favourite gotta be the HTTYD one, it's so nostalgic looking back at it

Most Cartoon Network shows from the 2000s and early 2010s have some great holiday specials, in particular Ed, Edd, n Eddy, Regular Show, Codename: Kids Next Door, and The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. I'll also always have a particular fondness for the Scary Godmother movies and Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer.

Garfield, Charlie Brown, the first episode of Batman the Animated Series, Hey Arnold, Rugrats, Flintstones, Grinch, etc. All had phenomenal Christmas specials.

Simpsons halloweed episodes were amazing, for the first 5 seasons or so.

Christmas comes to Pac-Land. Pac-Man and crew make Santa crash and potentially ruin Christmas, a holiday they've never heard of. But after a brief explanation, everyone starts to bro out with Santa as they help him get back on schedule. It's so bad that I can't help but like it.
Also, weird factoid: Pac-Man's cat and dog are always antagonizing each other, and they're voiced by the guys who would later do Optimus Prime and Megatron.

I really liked that CatDog Christmas special which had that music number at the end where it's revealed that Lube had a beautiful singing voice.

Grimm Adventures of Billy and Mandy had the best Halloween Special, not only that, but they usually played Underfist right after it.

But, Ed, Edd and Eddy, also had and absolute banger Halloween episode as well.

There's a Cartoon that had Boxing Day special? Wow lol

... anyway I actually enjoyed most of the American Dad Christmas specials ~
Simpsons THOH also !

I really like both of these specials... which is funny, since I cannot stand Billy & Mandy normally. Something about the special worked for me, though.

An All Dogs Christmas Carol is delightful. Really memorable voice acting and a couple of ear worm songs have ensured it's withstood the test of time, for me at least.

Those... those are some curves, huh? Wow. That's some Pixar design.

Always good to see this referenced and appreciated.

Classic for a reason. Haven't rewatched it in a few years now, it's overdue...

I love the first few Simpsons Halloween episodes and you can't beat the Charlie Brown holiday specials.
The Gravity Falls "Summerween" episode is great as well.
