Favorite anime/manga based on sport?

Ashita no Joe and Slam Dunk (aside from Hanamichi cringeworthy moments, especially involving girls) are the ones I have mad respect for. Captain Tsubasa was always passive to be at TV and never found any appeal of it (tbh soccer bores me to death). I heard also Kuroko no Basket is pretty good.

I tried Haikyuu but nope, not for me. Mainly since I hate volleyball with a passion.

I also love the 1960s Mach GoGoGo Anime and the 1980s Captain Tsubasa Anime but I'm going for this one since nobody seemes to have mentioned it yet and it drama like a Mexican telenovela. So if that's your coup of tea like it is mine as I grew up with WMT, it keeps you glued to the screen from day zero.
