FAST series logo.png

An antigrav racing game by German dev Shin'en Multimedia (also known for Art of Balance) that has humbly started as a Wiiware game before becoming a fully fledged franchise.

How did you discover about it? Is this scratching that F-zero itch? Do you wish Nintendo to give them at least one chance at making an actual F-zero game (even if it would feel different from Amusement Vision, Suzak or even ND Cube's)?

These games and the devs rule. I remember there being a lack of racers for the Wii U and Fast Racing Neo was a standout title. Used to play at my friend's place on their giant projector.

The games are more "Wipeout" than "F-Zero", IMO, but I think the devs could do FZ justice.

I kinda wish the Wii and Wii U had more non-Mario Kart type of racing games.

They're good devs but sad that they couldn't get any support like Retro Studio did with Metroid and Donkey Kong.

I've never played WipeOut but I remember it having items. Antigrav racing is a whole subgenre after all (which I'd argue that Kirby Air Ride and Sonic Riders were overarching between it and Party Karting games).

Totally, even if it's not as great as X (which is above all imo, even above AX/GX) I'd be glad to see a new good entry..

I actually was introduced to this series last week, but the one I played was in the arcade in The Touryst? I don't think it's a full-fledged version of it, but it's enough to get the gist while trying to beat the high-score for an in-game mission. If that one is anything like the standalone titles, it's got a good look and a nice sense of speed, but I wish there was a minimap. Really easy to fall off the track if you're going too fast and a turn pops up suddenly.

I was never a big nintendo player so I missed out on the Fast games until more recently when I was looking for Wii games to play. For me it was Wipeout and Cyberspeed for the PS1

How many Fast games are there?

I first played this series (Fast Racing NEO) on Cemu.
Its not quite F-Zero (more akin to Wipeout as other have said) but its still pretty rad.

Shin'en did that one? Nice.

How many Fast games are there?
Counting the Wiiware and RMX version: Four.

I assume that FAST RMX is a deluxe version of FAST Racing Neo like MK8 Deluxe was for MK8.

Yeah. At full price it's kind of a hard sell due to its length, as you can 100% it in about 4-5 hours, perhaps even quicker. But it's currently 50% off on steam and it felt worth it at that price. A short but good time.

For a 40 MB Wiiware game it looked nice.

It doesn't shy next to F-zero GX.
