Experiencing Vice City the First Time - I wasn’t prepared for this haha.

I see people on here gushing over Vice city all of the time, so I thought I’d finally try it out. Man…going backwards from GTA IV to this one doesn’t do you any favors. Talk about no mercy haha. The cops chase you like crazy and take your gun and you lose your money. This was right after I had gotten my first gun too. Back down to $0 The cars get damaged so easily as well.

Other than that, the vibe is cool of course. Just my limited exposure to the game had me not knowing what to expect.

Enjoy your stay in Vice City! I also recommend Vice City Stories once you done with that, it's the prequel, originally made for PSP so nothing's gonna blow you away graphic-wise, but there are improvements on gameplay and the mechanics.

Vice City is a product of its time. It's a great game but it suffers from game design choices that would never fly in the modern era. I was a teenager when it came out and I'm willing to turn a blind eye to the bullshit it puts a player through but at the same time I'll be the first to admit that there's loads of BS it will put you through. Prepare to save a lot if you don't want to lose your arsenal.

I too recommend once finishing playing these good games you give Sindacco Chronicles and Forelli Redemption a shot. GTA VCS and GTA III hacks respectively.
