Ask Me Anything
I like Link's Awakening and Minish Cap the most.

If you could make a RPG spin-off out of any non-RPG franchise, what would it be?

I still want the Virtua Fighter RPG we were supposed to get on the Saturn. Shenmue turned into something different and Virtua Quest is secretly a decent brawler but it's not a VF RPG.

Id have to go with Hogwarts Legacy for my choice.

Whats your favorite Sega Genesis/Mega Drive game?

Mine is Alisia Dragoon.

EDIT: I forgot to mention this, but you can answer any question from the thread, it doesn't have to be the latest one.

Favorite game that isn't retro... lets put 2020 and above??
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge (this one is my favorite)
Spelunky 2
Freedom Planet 2
Pikmin 4

You made me realize how much of a starved gamer I am regarding modern titles. There isn't exactly a big list of games I enjoyed beyond those that released from 2020 to 2025.

I don't count visual novels when talking about my favorite games as I like to keep them in a different category. But I'll go ahead and mention Starry Flowers anyway.

...

What's the weirdest crossover you ever wished for?

Ok, now hear me out - What if Star Wars and Harry Potter...

I'd make an RPG out of Burgertime

Hell's Kitchen but with the food on arms n legs initiating JRPG encounters with you

the worst is the Grey Onion, which can take a beating for years n stiLL bring you to tears as you try to chop it up n sometimes the liL fucker will take off running but if you can beat it - you'LL get so much EXP that you can expand your humble restaurant into a big-chain... the last boss is COOOKINNN MAMAAAAA who turns into an evil purple dragon with a mohawk n a spell-generating whisk that will put your halfass Chef party to the test

fav Gen/MD game: either Shinobi III or Phantasy Star IV

i want a rpg of tony hawk, nope i am not explaining why xD
Not impossible. Tony Hawk's Underground already had light RPG progression elements, and Proving Ground tried to expand on this further with different skater types: hardcore skaters who loved risk, career skaters who pursued fame, and skaters who could add objects to the level for new lines.

Elden Ring, and by your enthusiasm for running around stabbing everything with blood in it you seem to have taken to it yourself. Watching you mash L1 like a happy, murderous child is quite amusing.
Whats your favorite Sega Genesis/Mega Drive game?
Castlevania Bloodlines, despite sucking ass at it.
What's the weirdest crossover you ever wished for?
Digimon and Shin Megami Tensei

If there was one old tech trend you could bring back, what would you pick? I wanna see colorful, translucent plastic be popular again. Gimme that atomic purple Steam Deck!

That's a good answer. I'd like to see modern games being made for CRT, pixel art and whatnot.

What franchises would you like to see being brought back from the dead the most, assuming it would be a proper revival? For me it's Banjo-Kazooie and Spore.

What's the weirdest crossover you ever wished for?
Fire Emblem and Ninja Gaiden. Had a big, dumb head-canon years ago and everything.

If you could pick just one game to play for the rest of your life (mods and/or fan-made content included) what would it be?

For me, it'd be classic Doom. So much custom content to play through, it would stay fresh forever.

Ask anyone anything!

What's your favorite Zelda games?
My favorite games in the Zelda series:

TWW_US_Box.jpg
3982750-the-legend-of-zelda-links-awakening-dx-game-boy-color-front-cove.jpg

Non-weird crossover: Yakuza characters in Tekken, Aya Brea from Parasite Eve in Stellar Blade
Weird crossover: hmm... A old-school style Silent Hill by Team Silent starring Mario would be crazy. Mario would look and sound as goofy as ever but everything else would be as creepy and unsettling, and Mario's dark psychology and repressed feelings of guilt would be explored.
Mario could also be accused of murder in a Phoenix Wright game and you prove his innocence but then as he walks away he says something that makes you understand he really did it.

What's your favorite Zelda games?
Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, and Spirit Tracks.
If you could make a RPG spin-off out of any non-RPG franchise, what would it be?
Call of Duty, just to laugh at it.
Favorite game that isn't retro... lets put 2020 and above??
Library of Ruina.
What's the weirdest crossover you ever wished for?
Destroy all Humans, and Stubbs the Zombie.
What franchises would you like to see being brought back from the dead the most, assuming it would be a proper revival?
Steel Battalion.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge (this one is my favorite)
Spelunky 2
Freedom Planet 2
Pikmin 4
I can't believe I forgot to include Rift of the Necrodancer on this!!!

What's your favorite SNES platformer? Mine is Magical Pop'n.

I haven't played a lot of SNES games yet, but does Super Castlevania IV count? If not, I'll probably go with Super Mario World until I've dug deeper into the library.

My favorite Zelda is A Link to the Past
My favorite SNES platformer is Mega Man X

Some of my favorite non-retro (2020-now) games are:
Elden Ring, Octopath Traveler 2, Metroid Dread, Balder's Gate 3, Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, Unicorn Overlord, Chained Echoes, Sea of Stars, Infernax, and Remnant 2.
Although some of those are "retro" in their style if not actual age.

I'm letting people choose their own definition of what counts as platformers, but answering multiple categories is even better!

For example, if we're only going to refer to "pure" platformers, then SMW is my favorite (alongside with its romhacks). If we're gonna go on the other end of the spectrum, then EVO: Search for Eden is my favorite.

If you could pick just one game to play for the rest of your life (mods and/or fan-made content included) what would it be?
Probably Pokémon HeartGold/SoulSilver. It has infinite replayability for me and is absolutely gigantic.

What's your favorite Zelda games?
Wind Waker and Link's Awakening.

Yakuza! Oh, wait, that already happened and I loved it!
Maybe Soulcalibur?

Whats your favorite Sega Genesis/Mega Drive game?
I haven't played a huge amount, but I really like Fatal Labyrinth.

If there was one old tech trend you could bring back, what would you pick?
I wish Film photography replaced Digital solely because I think it makes movies look better.

What franchises would you like to see being brought back from the dead the most, assuming it would be a proper revival?
Earthworm Jim, but with me as the creative director.

What's your favorite SNES platformer?
Probably Aladdin or Megaman X.

What's your favorite movie decade?
