NES Ever tried Rad Racer's 3D mode?

Rad Racer was the first NES game I ever bought, gotten at a massive discount because the cartridge looked like it had been run over by a steamroller.

And even though I sucked at the game, I actually loved it because the coolest (or, should I say, RADEST) thing about it was that they gave it a true 3D mode by making the sprites go red & blue at the push of a button.

I tried this with the cheap glasses I had swiped from a Spy Kids 3D showing because I refused to believe that it was true, and was completely blown away by how awesome it looked! I didn't even know the NES was capable of such wizardry, and I think it a shame that no other game ever tried it.

I've never tried Rad Racer before, but this sounds cool.
It makes me think of the NES emulator called 3D SEN.
It can be bought on Steam and it's made in the Unity engine.
It allows you to play select NES titles in full 3D voxels.
More games will get this treatment later on, but you can play about 100 games like this.

If Rad Racer ever got the 3D voxel treatment, I bet it would look so unreal.

i had this game! i was actually playing in "3d mode" without the glasses cause i thought it looked cool LOL

and I think it a shame that no other game ever tried it.

Technically, some Master System games also had a 3D mode (Namely "Outrun 3D", "Space Harrier 3D", "Zaxxon 3D" and several others). But for the NES, this game and 3D Worldrunner are the only games that come to mind.
