Ever role-played?

I think the closest I would've gotten is when we played around outside as kids and we would play shows. Like someone would go "let's play GI Joe" and everybody picked who they were going to be, but then... there were never any missions or anything? We kinda still played the same but if you picked Destro, you had to do Destro's voice as well as you could? It was the 80s and we were lame little kids, idk
What's lame about having fun like that? That was a staple of many of our childhoods (we played Power Rangers).

Kids nowadays won't get that at all because they are glued to their damn screens all-day-long.

I just remember thinking it could've been more. A couple of years before, we used to go out at recess and make a giant mountain of sand in the sandbox and dig tunnels in it. Then at lunch, we'd bring out our Joe figues that we smuggled into school and have legit missions the guys would go on. I don't know if we got too cool for toys or what, but it always felt lazier just pretending to be a Gung-Ho playing Butts Up or whatever.
