Ever replayed a game and it just didn’t feel the same?

I actually love some of the lessons that older games have taught me. Like I talk to every NPC and interact with everything when I play a game, something a lot of modern gamers don't do because I guess they didn't grow up on games that expected you to focus on every little detail. So then they get stuck in a game and get mad at the developers. Also, a lot of modern gamers don't have lateral thinking skills, which games like the Monkey Island series, Day of the Tentacle, and Sam & Max all taught me.
Ya, and games like Eternam or Puzzle Agent, The 7th Guest, etc., gave you no help, maybe a random clue from time to time. You had to write things down and keep track of stuff. Most gamers now are so used to hand-holding in games that I'm surprised they know to push the directional pad or the analog stick to move without being told ::cirnoshrug
