I remember staring at those little things in awe whenever I spotted one for sale.
The whole thing just looked really cool, and you can bet that the store people knew it, because they had one complete model on display, sitting on top of a red Gameboy Color and with a Pokemon game to the side. It was the most eye-catching thing in there, and I was dying to have it.
And yet, while I knew several people who had Gameboys, I never knew anyone who owned this particular accessory, not even during the highly competitive days of the "retro wave" of the early aughts, where everyone was eager to show off their collections.
I actually know more people who had Virtual Boys than GB Cameras.
