Hi everyone, how are you? After a lot of research, racking my brain, searching for projects, scripts, etc., I managed to translate 100% of the Evangelion game. I fixed the crash bugs, missing dialogues, buttons; I just need to translate the images. I will share it soon; I just need to adjust some dialogues that are going beyond the box, but the game is 100% playable. I plan to release it soon, which is currently in English, and maybe in Brazilian Portuguese as well.

As soon as I put the project on GitHub, I'll share the link. Since I'm working on it with AI, numerous scripts have been created and it's quite messy. I need some time to adjust the repository, but I'll make the ROM available soon; it's 100% playable.

Much appreciated, I talked to the mods and we should be sharing this to the repo as soon as it's done, take your time though and make sure it is ready.

I'm unfamiliar with making translations but if you are looking for suggession do I have a few games I would love to see them get translated such as Super Adventure Rockman (PS1), Doraemon (DC), Akiba'Strip (PSP), and even the original Jet Set Radio (Japan) (DC) to name a few.

How do I post on the CD Romance page?
Post automatically merged:

Hey guys, I've translated 100% of the dialogues, action buttons, etc., I just need a few images. I think I've fixed 99% of the bugs. What's left is to play the whole game and see if I can find any errors and maybe improve the translations. The game is ready to be posted, I wanted to know how I can put it here on the CD Romance page.

You can't, we can, you need to share the game elsewhere, if you must you can share the patch alone and we can apply it.

The ROM is already created in English; the patches I used are mostly Python scripts, so I might just share the translated ROM then. I haven't had time to organize my GitHub repository.

Hi everyone!

I'd like to share the English patch for the game with you. It's in the repository: https://github.com/DQ-2025/Evangelion-2

It's easy to use, download the repository and follow these steps:

🚀 How to Apply the Translation (For Users)
If you already have the .xdelta patch file, follow this simple process:

Make sure your original Japanese ISO is named game.iso.

You can place it in the root folder (along with the .bat file) or inside the Patch/ folder.

Run the Apply_Translation.bat file (double-click).

The script will automatically generate the translated ISO called Evangelion_2_Translated.iso in the root folder.

Note: The delta patch is already inside the repository folder Patch.

For developers, in the readme, I explain how to use the Python scripts for modification.

About bugs:
There is a bug in the page numbering display of the Secret button (I haven't been able to fix it yet, but it doesn't prevent you from playing). There may be more, but I haven't found them yet. If there are any crashes, please report them.
What's missing: Improve some translations, text alignments, and translate some images.
Fixed menu button crashes, screen changes, and lags when walking on the map.
Have fun.

Wait minutes, i will update patch and you re download to work.

Okay now it asks me to install paython, it's obvious this is a bit more time consuming than other patches I've used, will have to take a look at this later, thanks for your contributions, will have to take a look at this another time when I got some free time.

Alright guys, I found a solution. The delta patch is created. Download the delta patch from my repository https://github.com/DQ-2025/Evangelion-2, which is named: translation.xdelta and use the patch from romhacking

In the first button, put your ISO, in the second button, put the patch, and it will generate the translated ROM.

Shinseiki Evangelion 2: Tsukurareshi Sekai - Another Cases (PSP)

English Fan Translation Patch — v26

A community-driven effort to bring this Japan-exclusive PSP title to English-speaking fans.

About This Project

Shinseiki Evangelion 2: Tsukurareshi Sekai - Another Cases was released exclusively in Japan in 2006 and never received an official English localization. This patch is the result of years of reverse engineering, tooling, and translation work by the fan community — built so that anyone who owns the game can finally experience it in English.
This patch is based on the reverse engineering work by Rezual and the localization toolchain by xeonliu.

How to Apply

  1. Download translation.xdelta from this repository
  2. Go to romhacking.net/patch
  3. Select your original Japanese ISO (game.iso, ULJS00061) as the ROM file
  4. Select translation.xdelta as the patch file
  5. Click Apply patch — your browser will download the patched ISO
  6. Play on a PSP or in PPSSPP
No software installation needed. Everything runs in your browser.

What's Included

ImprovementDescription
333MHz CPU patchEliminates map and menu lag by unlocking the PSP's full clock speed
Menu stabilityRebuilt f2info.bin and f2tuto.bin to fix crashes in Angel Encyclopedia and Tutorial screens
Translation polish~1,000 truncated dialogue lines corrected for readability
UI fixesItem names, location names, and HUD strings fitted to PSP screen limits

Known Issues

  • Secret button pagination: Some pages in the Encyclopedia accessed via the Secret button may not display correctly. This is a known layout issue under investigation.
  • Other minor text or display issues may exist in untested edge cases. Please open an issue if you find something.

The current patching set-up on the github looks to have worked for me::thumbsupwario Many thanks DQMaster for your work on the patch, I've been keeping an eye on it through the evening and could see you've been hard at work updating the github for hours so fair play to you for working it out.

1776980863403.png

I haven't the time tonight to actually play it much but I do note just from going through the opening scene of the first scenario I'm noticing some of the longer text boxes getting cut off like below. There's a lot of text formatting like that as well where one word spits between two lines, I don't know if that's a general limitation issue but would be nice to see ironed out. Looks pretty good otherwise, thanks again!

Evangelion 2: Another Cases — English Patch v27

Fan translation patch for Shinseiki Evangelion 2: Tsukurareshi Sekai - Another Cases (PSP, ULJS00061)

How to Apply

  1. Download Evangelion_EN_v27.xdelta from this repository
  2. Open romhacking.net/patch in your browser
  3. Select your original Japanese ISO as the ROM file
  4. Select Evangelion_EN_v27.xdelta as the patch file
  5. Click Apply patch and download the result
  6. Play on your PSP or in PPSSPP

What's in This Patch

333MHz everywhereAll 138 clock-reduction calls patched — no more lag on maps, menus, battles or screen transitions
Menu stabilityFixes crashes in the Angel Encyclopedia and Tutorial screens
Translation polish~1,000 truncated dialogue lines corrected
UI fixesItem and location names fitted to PSP screen limits
Charset extensionLatin characters supported in all text contexts

Performance Fix Details

The original game had 138 calls to scePowerSetClockFrequency scattered across map rendering, battle setup, menu transitions and cutscenes — actively dropping the CPU from 333MHz down to as low as 120MHz in many situations. This is the root cause of all lag.
This patch forces 333MHz/166MHz across the entire game. Tested to run smoothly on real PSP hardware and PPSSPP.

Known Issues

  • Some pages in the Encyclopedia accessed via the Secret button may not display correctly
  • Other minor text issues may exist in untested areas — feel free to open an issue

The reality is the text limitation, as the translations are longer than the Japanese ones. To fit everything perfectly, you'd have to cut the translations or abbreviate everything, which will take time. But there's a lot that could be cut, losing the meaning of the original text or translation. For now, it's possible to play around a bit.

Bro, we really appreciate all the work you put into this, thank you so much, like I said I will look into this later when I get some time, thanks again for going above and beyond and taking feedback.

Thank you so much for the trouble, I gave it another run but unfortunately it still gives me erroes... at this point I'll have to apologize and leave this for someone else, either one of the mods or perhaps one of those who got it working could share a pre-patched version here for later, I have to go now, sorry :(
