I love Eva, but I haven't played a game based off the series that wasn't straight butthole lol. That N64 game is awesome looking but damn it's rough. The typing games are entertaining I suppose lol. I guess I'm happy for the people who like the dating sims. Get rid of all that pesky pretentious psychoanalysis and get to the damn TIDDIES.

I hate NGE fans in that, while i really enjoyed it, the last 2 episodes were total garbage, and one of the worst ways to end a series. I later found out that the studio was having some internal issues with money. The fans of course will swear up and down that these 2 final episodes were great, and that youre not a true fan if you didnt enjoy them, etc etc.

Well, that's cult mentality for you. I've been a longtime NGE fan, and none of my friends or other NGE fans I've interacted with at the time thought that way. While I don't think those chapters are straight-up garbage, I don't think they're particularly good either. You have to remember, though — that was the only ending we had (or thought we had) at the time. Nowadays, it's great, because you have three endings to choose from. Long live democracy!

Been an Eva fan since I was 10. (God mistakes were been made.) since the Sci-fi channel broadcasted the uncensored ADV Dub at 9am saturday mornings in my region.
As some one who used to trawl eva-geeks as a teen in 2006-2009 and lived through rebuilds transformation from a ambitious up remake to a manifestation of Anno overcoming his depression.

But Girlfriend of Steel's translation came about because that game had PC Port.
It's file structure & data was accessible so Pearce Hillock sharpened his skills.
The Dreamcast typing games were likewise relatively easy to reverse engineer.
NDS/Wonderswan games were both miracles lol


I doubt the PS2 Game will ever get a translation.

You have your likes, that's clear, but that's it, subjective feeling.

I don't like Evangelion at all, from the start to the end with one exception, when those white winged "things" start eating Asuka's robot, in some movie I don't remember its name.

The rest makes me feel nauseating.

Well in my country existence of Pokemon made the whole country learn how evil and not so child-friendly animes are because in some country a kid jumped out of the window because he believed he is a Pokemon or some shit, they had to ban Pokemon and strictly control what they air on TV at that point lolol. As a result after Tsubasa, censored Dragon Ball, Beyblade and Yu-Gi-Oh we didn't experience animes much on TV other than Studio Ghibli movies lol.

I think for me what elevated it from bad to total garbage, was that not only was it a bad ending for a great series, but it was spread out thru 2 episodes, and on top of that it re-used a bunch of animation. But yeah, thankfully we did get the movies etc afterwards to make up for it. I just cant stand the whole, "well maybe its just too deep for you."

Well they may say "it's too deep to comprehend" and also "they had budget problems" the creator actually said "dude I grow up in Christian culture so I wanted to use religious stuff randomly just because it's cool" and the whole anime is made with what people would like. Early 2000 emo shit, porn BS, generic giant mecha, high school setting, father issues, tons of fan service... Nothing really "deep" in NGE it's just anime shit version of broken understanding of Christianity and that's all about it lol.

However its manga (which a friend shared to me that is better "fixed" version of NGE) pretty much actually worth to experience because in the manga Shinj is not a pussy, I don't really remember porn shit happens, the story progress by only focusing on what matters and there is a decent ending. I would like to say the anime shouldn't be considered it actually exist, for me only good thing in the anime is UI design of computers and that's all about it, rest of the visual rubbish just belongs in the nearest garbage disposal area lolol.
