Hello there,

I have PAL region SNES (I live in Europe) and a flashcard. I play all translated roms with that.

But when I tried to play Tokimeki Memorial (English Patched), it's giving an error message during boot screen: "This game is not desgined for your Super Famicom or Super NES - Konami Co. LTD".

I played many NTSC-J region English patched roms with this set-up but this is the only game that I got this error.

Do you have any advices to fix this problem?

A lot of Konami games tended to be region locked with NTSC games only working on an NTSC console and vice versa. Unless you mod your PAL SNES to play games in 60hz and bypass the region lock or procure a 60hz machine like Super Famicom or a North American SNES, I don't think you'll be able to play the "Tokimeki Memorial" fan translation on real hardware. You're just going to have to emulate it.

I removed Region Lock with using Advanced SNES ROM Utility. Japanese release works perfectly now. But when I applied the translation patch, the rom size became 8mb (from 4mb) and it says "File size too big". Is there way to make the rom smaller or fix the issue?

I honestly have no clue.

You can probably find a Rom pre-patched

Modified ROMs (such as fan translations or ROM hacks) often break the internal SNES checksum, causing flash carts to throw an error. Use a tool like IpsAndSum or uCon64 with the repair flag to recalculate and overwrite the header with the valid checksum for the game
