Interesting. I began playing ONE. remake (for Switch) just yesterday and I like it. I have read some reviews and most say that the protagonist, Orihara Kouhei is the worst thing in the game, too childish and treats the girls badly but I beg to differ. I have noticed most VN protagonists are "cool and knowledgeable", but Kouhei is just an average boy, so of course he is "childish", which also explains why he has problems with girls - it's all part of growing up, he doesn't yet know how to be with women and thus conducts himself awkwardly. It's kinda refreshing and I understand now why this game is called a classic, but I have also read that some arcs in this game are kinda.. dubious, but can't say anything about that yet. It might be I grow to hate Kouhei too so this should be all taken with a bit of a salt. Anyways, I am enjoying ONE. and let's see what it has to offer!

Holy shit, this is a throwback. I remember being a part of the Quality Control team for the original ONE ~Kagayaku Kisetsu e~ that was translated by AstCd2 back in 2007. (My user name then was narshe_delvar) (https://web.archive.org/web/20140911031045/http://akane.is.moelicious.be:80/index.htm)

It's nice to see more JP PS2 VNs get love, though. I just hope it doesn't turn into another Amagami issue where we are waiting 10 years for a mostly complete patch where they sit on it for almost half a decade.
