"This hack introduces a new Remix Mode, accessible from the options menu, which overhauls the game’s progression and adds quality-of-life improvements. Players can now fully control their ship’s weapons with a 6-button controller, store and trigger shields manually, and continue from the last cleared stage with their power-ups and score intact, making continues actually useful!" More details in the link below! Hack Credits: Released By: Ernani S. Costa Category: Improvement Patch: Version 1.0 Release Date: 24 July 2025 Source and details: https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/9065/

It's definitely one of the tougher shmups. But a very good one IMO. Cut your teeth on something easier first if you find it too difficult.
I love this genre and have played many similar games both on real hardware and in emulators. Thanks to MAME, I played almost all the shmups from arcade machines that I could find, and there are a lot of really difficult games there - which is not surprising, since there was a profit for the hall from a players to pay to play every time they died in game. And bullethell appeared there earlier than on consoles and PCs.

I only played the vanilla version and I found it very difficult to such an extent that I did not pass the first level of the game even trying 3 times. Well, I don't know if the remix version gives this game another chance.

Very strong quality-of-life hack. Must have! There are almost twenty improvements, and they're really all useful, unlike some of the hacks that are advertised as Q&L and say "we changed the color of a single pixel at a single level."

Nice, a remix of a game that isn't mario
Sometimes I think that the total number of Mario games romhacks is more than the number of romhacks for all the other games altogether. :)
