I would personally love to see someone translate all of the El Dorado Gate games 1-7. But for some reason no one wants to do it.

I got a Dreamcast couple months ago and got hyped to play these since the art was made by Yoshitaka Amano, and got frustated too, started learning japanese to play it someday when i think i can understand it in a reasonable level, and someday i'll try to translate it 😭

Well, it may be not the way to go for many people, but I've finished many games with the translation OCR from Batocera and I am quite satisfied to be able to understand most of the game because of it. My japanese level is not enough to be able to understand games with complicated text (usually for mature audiences), so I use it together with my knowledge and it's been alright.

Maybe you could give it a try :)

Some good games. I use a translator through RetroArch. It slows things down a bit but it's worth it to know what you're doing.
