I have mixed feelings about this. In one hand I think they give Hideo Kojima what so many indie video game developers dream of but he spams BS "games", in the other hand I think lack of humanity of AI may prevent us from playing a game that is not a game to begin with so we can get rid of Sony's pseudo movie games, Amazon delivery guy simulators or mindless boring action and perverted games and whatnot new generation kiddo video games and old farts trying to develop a game but they forgot what a game meant. They even have no idea what RPG means anymore. For me the video game industry died a long time ago so I lose nothing. With humans and without humans video game industry is fucked anyway but I wanna see if AI can actually do a better job than humans lol.

What I found amusing is this AI fear mongering. Oh no AI is bad it will make everything worse or people go right to oh no it will be skynet....

AI is not bad and can help with allot of things and can also help with allot of problems and also working on games simpler and more efficient. Problem using it correct. AAA companies use it for an cheap easy way out to increase their profit margins they don´t give a damn about quality or care at all what you as a gamer think. All they want is you to consume and buy.

Western game industry has lost all their brain cells and just wanna make a quick buck. And they will keep making money becuse gamer´s got shit for brain.

I mean look at Pokemon Legends ZA has sold sold 5.8 million units in its first week. Yet it´s the most laziest crappiest game game freak ever made. But it sells because they know selling idiot gamer´s nostalgia works every time.

It is what it is AI is slowly playing an increasingly important role in the gaming world. Honestly I don't care as long as a good game comes out of it. You can now discuss whether it is good or not but it makes no sense.

YOU cant stop AI, its gonna implemented worldwide life.
The AI here is simply a cost-time efficient tool for making games, instead 5 yrs and billion$ for AAA game.
We can get within 0.5yr and 0.5milliion investment, where devs actually be creative on the story/gameplay instead wasting time to finding/drawing/coloring/filling the contents/landscape etc. in games.
Where AI tool using nowadays web/PC power can just generate anything so fast, convenient and actually pretty/colorful/neat like AI clips on youtube.

So easy for devs to create scenes on the fly, like ie backtofuture: AI make a street scene sequence with stores,people,cars,bikes,birds,cloud etc. from 1980, AI will search the web for all those freeware images and assemble them as the devs wanted, thats the POWER OF AI COMPUTING because nowadays PC COMPUTING POWER.

For real, the good days of EA have long since passed. We’re 20 to 30 years into evil EA, they’ve been voted the worst company in America multiple times, and we still have the Battlefront 2, Destiny, and many other controversies in our rearview. If any company was not going to give a damn and go full send on using AI to automate their workplace, it would be EA (and then Microsoft, because we all know they’re headed that way lmao)

Yeah, not really sure why people are acting surprised by this. If any company was gonna be the one to lead the charge on AI games, it was gonna be EA. Plus, lets not also pretend like they haven't been the human equivalent of AI for like the last 20 years now with their output.

You know why companies like AI so much? It's not because it's genius (God no!), not because it makes their tasks easier (it can't be left unsupervised) and also not because it can even turn in consistent work -- they like it so much because they can force every sink one of those into endless grinds without having to pay them -- they are employees with no rights, what else could profit-crazed juggernauts want? And it's even better when disposable interns are the ones doing the final cleanup of whatever the AI produces, because then everything is net profit.

Everything else is just BS and PR speak.
