No you’re not having Deja Vu. DW thread got accidentally purged LOL, it’s a long story, but the short answer is that XenForo might be the silliest silly thing to ever silly.
Lessons were learned today.

We now resume our usual programming.

My favorite DWs are 5, 7 and 8.

I’m curious though, is anyone interested in a dynasty warriors guide?

Given the popularity of the series people would absolutely appreciate guides. I've seen in passing that a few games lean into light kingdom management, providing a sort of crossover space with Koei's other big hitter, Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

I have a friend thst absolutely loves the RotK games.

You are very kind with your feedback. Thanks.
Lookout! I am going to cast Magic!
Feel the power of my magic!
Someday I'll get the platinum of DW 7 on 360
I will love you forever if you do. One day I’ll get all the Steam achievements too.

Ooohh, I guide would be a lot of fun, I think!

Like I said in the previous thread, I really like 8.

I've only played Dynasty Warriors 2 to any extensive amount mostly because I was interested on early PS2 titles, it's very primitive both visually and mechanically but it still sets the groundwork for the entire series. Kessen was a more impressive tech demo from Toei.

I love Kessen!! Check out Dynasty Tactics, might be up your alley if you like Kessen!

I'll have to give it a look, I like when their games feature more strategy and less mindless ass whooping

dynasty warriors guide?
talking about guide, how did people who wrote those PS2 guides know how to unlock unique weapons/items? The requirements are very specific and unlike the modern games, earlier titles don't have in-game guides so i always wondering how they knew about them.

Back in the day you mean? In japan they were often written in collaboration with the developers, in the west they usually got a beta months before release

Many speedrunners learned stuff they never figured out simply because they actually learned japanese and it was in the jap guide (like hp and damage values, techcical stuff and stricks)

Some of my fondest memories are of a giant storm knocking out the power in our town for about 2 weeks. We ended up staying at our grandma's house during that time, and my uncle that I always played games with was still living there.

We got Dynasty Warriors 7 Xtreme Legends and Star Ocean: The Last Hope. Powered through SO4 in 3-4 days and spent the rest of that time in the challenge mode of DW7XL trying to push higher and higher on the co-op leaderboards. We ended up hitting top 50 in most of the challenges, it was such an exhilarating feeling!

Its still my fav DW game for the bias of those memories alone though I also adore DW4 and DW8XL. As far as the spin-offs go I loved Hyrule and Fire Emblem Warriors and have wanted to try the Gundam ones our for a hot minute. HnK one was solid and what little I've played of the Berserk one was great!

Has anyone tried the Dragon Quest ones? Also really wanna try an Empires game someday.
