I haven't played it but I know I played the Dungeon Magic ~ Light Bringer (1994, Reboot) Arcade version and it's considerable.

This game I would call something of a failed experiment. It's got a weird and stressful real time combat system that is not very fun in practice. It's also unforgivingly hard.

The main theme here is confusion and bewilderment. Easy to get lost if you don't have maps / aren't making handmade maps. You NEED to read the manual in order to understand the mechanics. It's an interesting mess that doesn't quite come together, but it does have its fans. Might be worth a look if you are willing to put in effort.

WTF never knew about this one, we had the N64, PSX and Saturn happening and they were like nah lets keep this oldschool. Salute to Teone, Natsume and Taito for this one.
It's a typo, it came out in 1989. 1998 would have been just throwing money out the window.
