DON'T FORGET TO READ THE READ ME AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS!

Play as Alice Drake who is a special psychologist that has the power to enter peoples dreams to help them overcome phobias and traumas they may have. Fight your way through the nightmare worlds created by your patients mines while trying to avoid being consumed by the demons that live in it. It may be only a dream, but for you it's very much real.

Do you like Serious Sam and Painkiller? This is a game in the same vein in it trying to be its own thing. I think its a good game that could have used more of a budget and time but for what we got its not bad. I think you will enjoy whats here!

Just make sure you read the read me so you can get this running proper.

UPDATE: A friend has pointed out I didn't see the redist folder in the Dreamkiller folder that has the fix included plus the DirectX fix so there you go! You can install both if you are having issues or just mine in the Game Fix folder and restart afterwards, as per my instructions. That was my mistake but it took almost all day to upload this game to the server so I don't want to do it again, at least not right now.

Enjoy!

I absolutely prefer the ages of old when it comes to gaming. I am a very stern rejector of microtransactions, DLC that was just the main game ripped out, DRM garbage and many other staples of modern gaming people are just ok with that I will never be. It's what happens when something goes mainstream and it's rarely a good thing.

As for Lara ya they aboslutely ruined her character in the Reboot games. I got the first Reboot game from 2016 day one and 100% regreted buying it. It looked like a somewhat fun twist on the formula but I was slightly more forgiving of red flags back then becuase there were a few I just kinda hand waved away. Her character in that is awful as hell but people loved it cus you had people that had never played the other ones, or tried them for 2 seconds and gave up cus of tank controls, saying how amazing it is. Its the same kinda disconnect I had for Skyrim becuase when that came out people couldn't shut up about how amazing it how perfect it is how omgitsthebestgameever it was. I got it 2 days before it came out at a store that sold it early cus I liked Oblivion fine enough, not as much as Morrowind though, and was SO disapointed. It was the first "Did we play the same game?" kinda feeling I ever have in gaming.

Also also don't get me started on that kinda writing. I hate marvel myself and have never seen, nor do I care to see, any of the movies in theaters. Thats a whoooooole other rant though that will take up a lot of space here and I wanna stick to games lol.

So, you know what I'm saying then. I'm so used to people becoming defensive, rather than understanding the point that I'm trying to make. I just feel like certain priorities need to change, before things can really begin to improve, and there is so much room for improvement. Especially when games now are what, $70 for the half ass stripped down version? Well over $100 to have the "full" game and a soundtrack? The games are always unfinished, still needing at least a year of releasing multiple patches. AND it's all digital only. No box, no book or concept art or anything. They claim it's because "games cost more to make". So, make the proper adjustments. Hire only who is needed, focus on the right talent, let them be creative.
Their priorities suck now.

Characters all use "seriously" or "really" as the punchline to everything. Before you know it, they'll be saying "bro" or "bruh" every other word. Really? And then the writters will be upset that they were replaced by AI. Seriously?

Maybe I'm just getting old. But I can't be the only one who wants a few changes here. People just accept anything.

I'm glad to see all these PC games appearing on here, abandonware or whatever, I still prefer the classics over most of the new games coming out. As physical media is seen less and less, it makes me miss the days of seeing big box PC games on store shelves. They were so interesting, games were much more experimental back then. No yellow paint telling you where to go. DLC was free.
Obviously 'this' game was a little more recent than those ones, but i mean, this is still the kind of game I'd rather be playing. This was still a good era for games.

Not everyone will agree with me on this, but they ruined the Lara Croft character. The games are ok and all... But compare the character that we had in the 90s to what the character is today. Boring now. Not bad ass. And the reason games worked so much better way back, I mean story and characters, was that it came naturally, organically. The focus was on making a good game, not making it as diverse or whatever, it just went about as the developers envisioned it. The developers were usually a fairly small group of weebs who just wanted to make games that they themselves wanted. It's all so corporation like now, hundreds of people working on them, many are not even needed there. HR and whatever, people who decide they need more of this, or this 'might' seen offensive or insensitive to some.
I remember reading this article about Splinter Cell. How they decided on the character. They had many different versions, concept art. They wanted someone somewhat believable. Not TOO young, not TOO old, just a bit of gray hair. He wasn't a cigar smoking edgelord, he wasn't want a Solid Snake clone, and he didn't punch boulders. That is what i wish they would do with more characters, what seemed most likely or believable for that role.
And most TV shows and games now, suffer from what I call "millennial writing". It's all the same, everyone talks the same, they all use the same tired old templates. Everything is like a Marvel movie or something, same jokes, same predictable everything.

Guys plz don't fall for the bait. Lets talk about the game and stuff!

I consider myself very knowledgeable when it comes to videogame releases, been playing games since 94' and I'd say I know even the most obscure stuff by now but I've NEVER heard of this one and it looks right up my alley as well... what the hell... Thank you for bringing this to the limelight!

We do need a renaissance of badass female leads in games but I fail to see how it's all military dudebros in games nowadays when all we seem to be getting with every new game announcement is poorly written 'strong female character' types that show none of the nuances of what makes them strong yet love to yap about it constantly like karens. So YES, bring back ACTUAL badass female leads whose character traits don't revolve around simply 'being female' but instead having actual character and personality WHILST being female! That takes actual skill and time and revising from writers though and with the writing slop we see nowadays... I reckon it'll yet be some time until that happens.

The story sounds kinda like Psychonauts. A hardcore FPS Psychonauts. That sounds intriguing to me. Thank you for uploading this. I just wish I had a more powerful potato PC & more storage space.

Yeah, because redditors are known for disliking female and minority protagonists. Totally.

I was talking to Tismlanit, he said "now it's all military dudebros in games." which is extremely disingenous. Redditors who love girlboss main characters can't even admit they took over and replaced all the cool, masculine protagonists with girlbosses and dysgenic mystery meat protagonists. Or in God of War's case, turn him into a soyboy cuck who gets beat by his wife.
I just want you to know with 100% certainty that I'm going to laugh loudly when you inevitably get banned.

Meia from Alundra finally got her own game! ::thumbsupwario

Writers need to unlearn the practice of merely checking boxes and trying to sound cool.

I remember this got a free weekend on Steam and if they wanted people to buy it letting them play it first was a bad idea.

wtf are you talking about? there's barely any straight white male leads in games now. it's mostly women and minorities
Gonna need some citations there, mate.

Apparently its called the Meng Engine
Huh! Nice. Was wondering if was something akin to CloakNT or something. Thanks for the heads-up!

Oh what a gem you are! I remember finding this on internet archive but couldn't get it running. Just played the first couple of missions and this is my jam! Thank you for these awesome uploads! <3

I've never heard of this one, but I really dig some of these monster designs. Thanks for sharing!
Your welcome and ya they are pretty neat!

Tell me about it. Tends to be written by people that peaked in kindergarten and for some reason thats what studios want. You hire people like that and you get stuff like this:

cool beans
::thank-you
Another under-the-radar upload!

Curious to know what engine this runs on.
Apparently its called the Meng Engine
