Created by: Orias Obderhode (Twinblake) This is the latest build I could find. It didn't include a readme, so here's the readme of the previous build: Dragon Quest: Legacy of the Lost Readme: Thank you for choosing to download Legacy of the Lost! If you get stuck, I am working on creating a FAQ/Walkthrough of the game. There is a small list of FAQs at the bottom of this guide. A Breeding Guide and an Alchemy Guide is posted on the game page as well. This is the updated version of the final game released on 3/4/13. All save files […]

Anyone got this working on JoiPlay? I keep getting hit with:

Script '(eval)' line 958: NoMethodError occured.

private method `include' called for Game_Character:Class

dunno what to do
Same issues with me i using joiplay for my device but still pop up the error

I never seen a Dragon Quest game made by a fan before, this is new to me.
Check out Dragon Quest+. It was probably the most ambitious fan game of Dragon Quest made using RPG Maker 2003 (my personal favorite RPG Maker engine) It's sorta a remake of the first game but much more expanded and with ideas taken from Dragon Quest III. You can find info about it from this archived rpgmaker.net page and the download of the final version from here There's an intel and amd version. I'm not entirely sure which to get but I picked the amd one since I use an Nvidia card instead of an Intel HD card. Either one would probably work fine on mine tho. It might be a good idea to add Dragon Quest+ to here too.

Edit: oh and press F5 for video options if you wanna change shaders and get rid of the ugly (imo) bilinear filtering

You can find all the other versions including the one from this page on archive.org I'm guessing that's where Spike got the files from since rpgmaker.net is down indefinitely. The death of rpgmaker.net has kinda hurt the community quite a bit I think. It was where I always checked for new or interesting rpg maker games. What's the site people use nowadays for them?

It'd be nice if I could resize the screen.
Use Lossless Scaling It's a paid app but you can find a free copy of it if you know where to look

So what IS this, anyways? Looks nice (like a mix of a GBC and NES game), but is it a remake of one game, a compilation of multiple stories in one, or a completely new fan game story?
From someone on Reddit: "Dragon Quest Legacy of the Lost, a free DQ7-inspired fangame. It has an 40-hours long main story, a lengthy postgame, fully implemented monster breeding and alchemy systems, puzzle-heavy dungeons and hard challenging bosses. It is very, very well made and I encourage you to try it at some point, it deserves more recognition and respect"

So it's a completely original fan game story. It's an older one too from like 2012 with completed development in late 2014

iirc this is a rpgmaker game. you can resize the screen by pressing alt+enter.

Okay, the closest I've gotten to a fullscreen solution is to A) keep the game to defaulting to windowed mode, then B) use Borderless Gaming to run the game maximized which will fullscreen the game to 16:9. Downside is the game loses some of its crispness. Going to play around with dxwnd next.

If you have played the first 4 games of the Dragon Quest/Dragon Warrior saga of FC/NES era then this Dragon Quest/Dragon Warrior homebrew game created by the community for PC may be for you and it looks good like the III and IV, although it is better than the I and II of FC/NES yes.
