I saw there is a couple point and click games for PlayStation (PS1) and a Bram Stoker's Dracula for Sega CD. Has anyone played any of these, and if so would you recommend them?

Here's Bram Stoker's Dracula on Sega CD

Something called Dracula Unleashed which looks promising for a Sega CD Po8nt and Click

I also noticed a couple games I would totally check out, if not for the fact they didn't seem to have an English patch for them: Detective Dracula and it's sequel!

These look awesome. I will definitely check them out if an English patch gets released!

So, do you know about any good Dracula games besides the obvious Castlevania series?

Hey, that Necronomicon game looks pretty cool, and it's sort of fitting. I might check it out, thank you!

I often miss games like this that have a European English release but not a USA release, so it's cool to find something like this! ::biggrin

I actually own Syberia 1 & 2 and Atlantis TLT on GOG. Haven't played them yet, though.

I don't believe any of the Bram Stoker's Dracula games were well received at the time, so ymmv. You should check out Countdown Vampires on PS1. It's not great but the dub might be the best bad dub ever. "I'm going to tell you my plan before you die, just to make it so you really don't want to die"

There's always Dracula for the Commodore 64 by Commodore, too

In the wake of vampire / vampire master of darkness is based on Bram stoker's character
It's an actually pretty decent Castlevania - like

liked both Dracula the Resurrection and Necronomicon back then;
they have atmosphear, and good/complex puzzles

were also full localized here

Dracula Detective looks dope, I don't think I'd touch anything else on here. It's a Japanese-style FMV adventure game, meaning you still move around, search rooms and solve little puzzles. Basically, it works like D (on the 3DO, Saturn, PS1, etc.). D stands for Dracula btw, so that's another game you could check out.
Also Castlevania is called Akumajo Dracula in Japan so that's a ton more games that fit.

Sure. The games are moreso about monsters, but Dracula's their head honcho in each entry of the original series, and one of four playable characters from the MercurySteam era.
...Actually, the whole point of the thread was to find games about Dracula that are not Castlevania.

If you can find it, how about THE FIRST Dracula game....

The Count 1979 on the Tandy trash 80.

It was a very early text adventure, so it probably leaves a lot to be desired. On the other hand it was reviewed by The Space Gamer magazine (issue #29 1980), they said "Unless you are easily frustrated, I highly recommend this program"
