Downloading PS2 ISOs and burning them onto discs?

This is what I had to do for my soft modded ps2 slim 16 years or so ago. It had to be on DVD-r and it was very tedious especially compared to what can be done with a hard modded slim(hdd capable) ,or a fat. Unless you really just want the original hardware I'd recommend either like a dedicated emulation hardware whether thats rasperry pi, pc, ps3, mobile, tablet. Even if you have the hdd capable ps2s its still a pain either loading up games on an obsolete hard drive or hunting down a network adapter/hard drive adapter, a hard drive, loading games on and off of it and as good as OPL (open ps2 loader) is it also feels very obsolete. Aethersx2 and pcsx2 are very high functioning only having issues with maybe pace car lights on gran turismo 4, some levels on tony hawk underground 2, 1 stage on tekken tag tournament 2. I havent used a ps3 to run ps2 games, but I am certain its better than OPL. That being said OPL was mind blowing before better things came.

Even the play station controllers are getting very hard to find and the face buttons are pressure sensitive in a 0-100% sense if you get me and the knockoffs that are available only reach the extremes of on or off.

I've got a PS2 slim and I can vouch for the SMB through Raspberry Pi method.
I have an old Raspberry Pi 1 for it and it flies!
Then, instead of burning the ISOs you just put them on a usb drive, and load them as the tutorial video shows ?
