This loveable handheld just turned 20 both in Japan and over here. Europe has until September of this year. Looking back at it's lifespan, it's highs and lows, successes and failures. This little thing had a lot to offer even though it obviously fell short to the DS. But ya gotta admit that if you had one, you enjoyed it in one way or another and hell; that was most likely pre-modded. Once when DarkAleX came on the scene, that little device received upgrade after upgrade.
UMDs were nearly surreal. I say nearly since it just looked like a jailboxed Gamecube disc. Both games and movies could be loaded in and played and it was pretty cool to experience. Playing locally via Ad-Hoc or online via Infrastructure did the job as well. Special shoutout if you had a Monster Hunter Crew, EVEN IF it was for 3 and 4 ultimate on the 3DS/Wii U. Look I could go on and on but I noticed that NOBODY is talking about this. At least, in my neck of the woods in the digital space as well as RL. Let's talk about it! Let's reminisce.

What was your first PSP experience? Did you get to play your nut outside? iykyk
Was it the 1000? 2000? 3000? Go?

I like the PSP, it's one of my favorite handhelds. Actually played a lot of good games for the first time in the last couple years, and I still have some heavy hitters ahead of me. I like the clean simplicity of PSP 3D. A lot of games were low-ambition handheld stuff that didn't really exploit the PSP's potential, but there are some great games too.

Not enough, but it's certainly loved.

I personally never owned one, but I remember it being at the center of perhaps the wildest online controversy I had ever seen... One a kid came bragging to our forum about stealing one, thinking we were gonna praise him XD That thread turned into an execution chamber so fast as to result dizzying.

i bought one recently and the library is INSANELY GOOD, and RGT repo helped me a lot in discover some hidden gems, like 7th Dragon 2020 and so on. Also, the fact that PSP can run PS1 games almost flawless is awesome, like, you can play the final fantasy franchise all the way from I to IX, along with tactics, dissidia and type-0. the console is great for emulation too, i even beat super mario world with the snes emulation on psp. if you´re a fan of JRPGs and Visual Novels like me, the psp is the perfect console, the form factor and screen quality makes is very good even today, with the homebrew functionalities and more... i would probably say that the psp is my favorite console of all time rn

I have the 1000 and 2000 models. I still play them from time to time. The library is good and they're very easy to mod.

I have a psp 1001 that I always use to play SNES and GBA games. Also, there's God Of War and Final Fantasy III remake which I really love. And let's not forget about Daxter.

Most definitely. Still have my original PSP-3000 from when I was a kid, just got a 128gb SD memcard for it, got all sorts of emulators loaded up. Deadalus64 (N64) is actually pretty playable now, much better than the 2013 version I used to have; played some Mario 64 earlier and it ran great! Check out the PSP Emulation wiki if you wanna see how many emulators you can jam on these things, it's insane. Magnavox Odyssey, Commodore 64 (among many other 8 bit computers), PC Engine/ CD, Sega CD, of course it has PS1 emulation from factory... and many actual fun PSP games! Always loved Little Big Planet, really fun version on PSP. Recently got into Hatsune Miku Project Diva, great fun if you're into rhythm games and that sorta music. Still a thriving modding scene for the PSP thankfully, perhaps the greatest handheld system of all time

Psp games are very good.
I currently play need for speed most wanted and it is really good!
I know someone search for poet for psp.
I never had one but i think it is so good.

I really like PSP, but as I usually don't play handheld consoles, I used to play PPSSPP. I only finished 2 games in my life, 3rd Birthday and Type-0. The first one I got a bittersweet sensation, but I consider Type-0 the best modern Final Fantasy (PS360 era onwards).

But do not misunderstand me, PSP has tons of amazing games I want to play, the problem is mine, I am still not playing in that generation, too advanced xD.
