Hey all!
I've been working on a game for a while now and thought it'd be cool to show it off here!

Header Capsule.png

It's called Does The Moon Dream and it's a real time grid-based action horror game inspired by PS2 horror classics like Killer7 and the King's Field series. As such, this site has been great for getting more research on tons of hidden gems I've missed out on.
In it, you hack through monsters that were once people, rescuing survivors while trying to discover the source of the 'infection' that has ravaged the town. It has directional combat where you must match your blocks to the direction of an enemy's incoming attack, then strike along the right area for critical damage.

Does The Moon Dream's newest demo has recently been released, alongside a content update that added additional cutscenes, dialogue, extended ending, and a proper tutorial.
The demo is approx. 1 hour long and includes combat, exploration, and narrative segments.
It can be played here:

I hope you find this interesting!

What if they still are people and you realise that you are the monster in the end?

This is really great and inspiring. I'm working on a first person grid based mystery dungeon/RPG myself. Though progress is really slow because I'm pretty uneducated with coding but I'm learning with the help of ChatGPT. It's very rough around the edges still and everything is a placeholder but I'm proud that everything I've currently added works. Anyways this isn't about me it's about you, great job the game looks good and I hope you're proud of yourself because you should be!
