Does anyone still use GameFAQs?

I’ve used this browser plugin for years and it made my life much better, try it out and see if you like it (I dunno what browser you have ofc, I use Brave and it works like a charm)
Thank you.

I still find it rude to spoil every bosses in a thumbnail of a video.

And some are daring to tell "then don't click on it".

i use it quite a bit. i make notepad copies of the guides for later in case my internet goes out. i also check reddit for information and there was another site that has a lot of good info on games like animal crossing and botw/totk.

I definitely still use Gamefaqs! Its a great resource for older games!
Yes, sometimes you want a video or something like Fextralife for a newer game. But Gamefaqs is an incredible resource and I hope it doesn't go anywhere!

I am currently using it for "Final Fantasy 1 & 2 Dawn of Souls". It's my Brothers old game, it had a corroded pcb pin and I had to use a bit of wire and solder it to an exposed via. It works, and now I'm level 20 in Elfheim. Last week I used it for Jumping Flash 2 cheats on my PS1 Classic.

Last time I used it it was for resident evil 1 ever since then I been getting puzzles and clues on my own so im not finding much use to it these days.

I use it for older games, most recently DBZ:BT3. I really like looking at those old posts and reading through them. Feeling that strange connection to people who were playing the same game and thinking the same things, even asking the same questions 16 years ago, is so cool to me.

absolutely, Gamefaqs is still the only source for information on thousands of older games. if it suddenly disappeared it would be kind of a tragedy.

I still use it from time to time when stuck on something. Sometimes I restrain myself enough to ONLY get a hint... other times I let myself get carried away and rely on the walkthrough the whole way through. Also I consult the guides on how to unlock certain stuff in older games. Like, if I see that you unlock something cool when doing this or that, it gives me something to strive for.

Oh, and although many of the guides are decades old, I try to get in touch with the authors to thank them for their help/work. It's just common decency in my opinion.

Are there any alternatives?
Depends. I Googled help for Syberia 2, and it directed me to a site that was specifically targeted at adventure games.

I only use for guides whenever I'm stuck in a game.
