When I was a kid, this movie was playing on "Sessão da Tarde," which is a Brazilian movie program that airs every afternoon.There was a movie playing and I was watching it and I was laughing a lot at the jokes and the inspector, who is very funny. I think it's because I remember the movie that's called "The Pink Panther Diamond," I think it's not the same anymore, but it reminds me of the Pink Panther movie from when I was a child.

I grew up watching the Pink Panther cartoons, so I was really confused about the live action movie not being about the character... it felt like a bait and switch.

I believe the films came before the cartoon because I know the panther was created to introduce the film as a character.
