As stated in the title, I am currently looking for a English translated version of Snatcher on the PSX

If anyone knows where I can find a patch or a pre-patched iso of the game please do let me know

I have policenauts already and am looking to get both games on my Duckstation install (yes my current PSX emulator is literally called duckstation XP lol)

Sorry doesn't exist. The only English version is the Sega CD. However, it is a good one and the only one but I've always yearned for other versions as well hopefully someone will pick up the projects one day!!

well shoot, I was afraid of that so I did pre-emptively download the SCD version in the event that happens

Honestly, as far as I can tell, the PS1/Saturn versions of Snatcher are strictly inferior to the PCE/SCD versions, so you really aren't missing anything.

Haven't heard of eng patch for ps1. Agree with the post above: consider Snatcher for Sega CD. I don't own actual sega hardware but still play it via picodrive (sega MD/CD emulator) on modded psp. This game is stellar. Highly recommend!

Personally I want to do the PC Engine version translated but I'm fine with the Sega CD one.
Same, mostly because the english dub of the SCD version comes across to me as seriously campy and it kinda breaks my immersion. Also, I find the robot sidekick almost impossible to understand because of the heavy voice post processing.

In a better reality Konami would've bothered with an actual remaster with the graphic style choice and language with subtitles for vocal scenes.

And they would have bothered to remain relevant on the current gaming landscape, while at it.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you about the voice acting, which was literally the best you could do at the time. Japanese players even Imported this version of the game for that reason. It set the standards for voice acting in video games at a time when standards were a lot lower, and as such I feel its historically important, and is also not a "dub". It's the original voice acted version.

That being said, Snatcher is totally playable in Japanese with a Guide.
