Does anyone here play on Insignia?

Insignia is an Xbox Live 1.0 replacement for the original Xbox. It restores most core functionality and has roughly 200 games up and running online despite the servers for the original Xbox being shut down some 15 years ago. I just got my system setup (super easy and doesn't require any system modifications) and played a bunch of Halo 2 and Phantasy Star Online Ep.1&2 and it was a blast! Super shocked at how well it runs and how seamless the whole experience is.

Does anyone here also play on the service? My gamertag is LenaCE so feel free to add me on there if you do! If there are any games you wanna have a game night for I'd love to try and set something up! Maybe we could even make an RGT clan for Halo 2 lol

My local game shop has a Steel Battalion and man oh man it stares daggers at me everytime I stop by. One of these days I'm gonna make the dumbest impulse purchase of my life and it will be glorious lol

I have both, the controller is the GOAT but the game is kinda meh...

Oh yeah; A mention to those who are finding out about insignia and it is live now:
If you play PSO on insignia, that actually just forwards you to one of few choices of private servers, schthack being one but few others also, these servers all have coded cross play between GameCube PSO and Xbox PSO, since they are that much the same game. DreamCast version has had a lot of yes/no/yes/no over the years, I think currently there is limited test again on schthack.

But yeah; if you do play this version of PSO which is, bit underpopulated on all servers, you can boost your numbers with a friend who can choose a number of ways to play with you on GameCube. GC version basically works on original console, Wii running nintendon't BBA emulation, Wii U running nintendon't with BBA emulation, Dolphin emulator etc.

TL:DR: Go play PSO if you feel like it, crossplays with GC version on the servers available.

Dang it, if you have the controllers I envy you SO much. Even If I manage to have some space here to have the controller, paying for it would be a lot, and I would also risk the whole transport danger...

Yes, I have a 30" Insignia LCD TV with component and S-video hookups. No HDMI upscaler needed.
Though seriously this would be amazing with Steel Battalion. A game which I have only played at retro gaming conventions.
