Manga Does anyone here loves Osamu Tezuka?

Even if he was surely a closet furry I liked the way he drew animals.

Maybe it's the Disney influence but I like how he knew how to give a wide range of emotions to them (especially with the eyes).

My theory is that since reincarnation in Buddhism is a common theme among his work I can assume that the "human expressions" of animals came from the fact they may have been humans before.

I also like seeing character design back because of that theory (aside from the whole "theatre troupe" aspect he gave to his characters, justifying why you see them with a similar role but in different eras and settings).

He didn't need to give Phoenix those eyelids that are typically given to female cartoon characters yet it worked greatly for the design.
