I'm new to being a content creator and getting the word out. I figured I'd try my hand at displaying it here and see who would be interested in watching, even if it's for a couple of minutes.
I believe retrospectives cover games that either people wouldn't have time for or never knew it existed. ESPECIALLY when it comes to handheld games. This has been a passion project of mine and I do want to keep it going for a little longer to cover certain gems, or rather, games that I find to be gems that I'd like to talk about. I'm also open to any and all criticisms. I want to get better at it, if not, fuel my motivation to finish my own WIPs for stories.

Thank you for taking the time to opening this new post. Have a good day! ::peacemario

Not interested in Youtuber's opinions.
Man, do you ever post anything productive or worthwhile? Every post of yours I've seen is either some passive-aggressive dig or a response to a question where you just link them to Google.

In any case, to get back on topic - just jumped through a couple minutes and it looks good to me so far. I'm a fan of the series retrospective format personally and I've found out about a good few series I enjoyed through videos like yours.

The only constructive criticism that jumps out at me is that your audio seems to pop every now and then - not like I know how to fix that kind of thing, but I figured that would be worthwhile to mention.

Hope you keep at it and hope you keep enjoying it!

I appreciate it! I'll make sure to make tweaks towards it, thank you for the honesty.

I had no idea what "retrospective" is so I followed the MemeAlert's wisdom™ and Googled it lol, it sounds like a useful concept for videos to watch despite I don't really watch Youtube videos other than turn them into an element of my humorous posts lol.

I think the most valuable type of retrospective videos would be about the whole video game development team that operates as a "group" rather than particularly under being a particular name of a studio or something, and their works between many companies they worked for. Sometimes I like their game because these and these particular people are involved in the developmet but have to hunt down them name by name and draw connections to figure out what other video games these people together developed. IDK if it's a thing but if not I think it would be valuable aspect of your Youtuber goal. Carry on.

Your take is absolutely spot on. Unfortunately there wasn't much I could find in terms of the development life cycle of the game outside of what I included in the video. I'll still keep trying find all that I can for upcoming games that I want to cover and expose to anyone willing to listen. That also includes English-patched ones so long as it doesn't put a target on the people who stepped up to the challenge. I just believe that their work should be recognized widely ya know?

Thank you very much!

I watch Majuular and sometimes BoulderPunch but if I'm honest it's because I need a new video for the grind, I'm about to head out and will give you a fair shake later.
It's thanks to Majuular, Marsh, and Kbash that I started this project. Nice to meet a cultured individual ::bigboss

Bless his heart. He was born with oxygen deficiency.

Mostly specific guys like Toughman Gaming’s DBZ essays or Mathewmatosis’s game dev blogs. JA’s Witcher series is also a treat, and of course cybershell. Nemesis Bloodryche has some great vids about true crime and irl mysteries and mythos, also talks a lot about culture, mythology, nature and other stuff. I tend to find non-fiction essays quite attractive.
I’m interested in what you’ll make, I’m sure it’ll turn out great!

I usually waste time to Erick Landon RPG just so i can say this: HE'S THE ANGRY (ONLY IN JAPAN) JRPG VIDEO GAME NNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRDDDDDDDD!!!!!!! just to get a strong gloat. hehehehehehehee...... i frankly don't care/believe about opinions gaming channels and such is all about video essays and reviews. i watch mr.surjano only as a lookout while i scorn fans of monstergirldreams discord page.

I watch them, although anything longer than an hour is a nope for me, unless I'm reaaaaly into the game series (Final Fantasy stuff only).

i've only watched a couple as far as i can remember; one on some sonic games leading up to sonic 06, a star fox one, and one about some godzilla games.

Yup, I do enjoy it, my favourite one is about the Panzer Dragoon games by "I finished a videogame"

Regarding to your video from what I could see (mostly the first 6 minutes), it seems pretty solid, great job. I´ll save it to watch later.

I usually don't, but that's on the grounds of watching only a few specific channels and the fact that I make my own material related to this kind of thing (albeit in a different direction; here's my latest work to get a grip on how I approach things).

That said, you should find the time to see if the approach you want to take will be a worthwhile effort in the long run. Experimentation never hurts anyone; if it doesn't seem to work out, see what you can do to change that. A bit of charisma never hurts, either, but I do realize not everybody's gonna have such a trait.

Beyond that, it's pretty much up to the YT algorithm to decide your fate, and as I've learned from my last two projects not working out the way I hope, that system can be incredibly stupid.

I love a good YouTube retrospective, I'll be sure to check this out. I find I need to have something on the background whenever I'm gaming/writing since I've apparently caught zoomer brainrot.
