I could talk about the gameplay, game design, the music, or anything else, but for real I’m here for Jann Lee.

He’s so cool. And fun to play. And so I go back to the game just to see and play as him.

Tits are cool, but I like Jann Lee.

Also, his interaction and fight with Hitomi is cool. I like to think they become besties. :)

DOA 3 is the best fighting game in my childhood (2nd goes to bloody roar on xbox) and 3rd best doa game.

+ Ryu is way cooler then this (best) bruce lee rip off

I think they were like “make it cinematic!”
They wanted to make it unique for some reason, probably to stress technology and probably to stand out. Around this time DOA was trying its best to make a name for itself and one of the ways it was doing that was to be as flashy as possible. Boobs are a part of that, so are the stage shenanigans, and then there’s the final boss.

This is not to excuse that fight because GOOD LORD IT SUCKS! I almost want to make my own bootleg boss rage on that thing because I was finding it so hard to get in thanks to his moveset and so hard to judge the distance of my own attacks because of the camera.

It has Hitomi so obviously is a great game.

I also found fascinating how they took 3 and made a whole "remake" of DOA 2 with that engine. So yeah 3 is still a beast of a fighting game.

Yeah, Hitomi is my second favorite roster member. I like Makoto and Rainbow Mika from Street Fighter as well, so that explains a lot.

I prefer her casual clothes though! I think it’s such a cool idea to have this girl, probably like somebody you know, who can do all this crazy martial arts stuff!

That much is very true. Perception is a huge part of the experience.

Funny story, actually. DOA started life on the Sega Saturn. Found this out as I’ve been obsessed with the Saturn.

AND IT HAS THE JIGGLES!

The jiggles are terrible. They’re just so wild. But it’s so funny. And the gameplay does actually look kinda sick. I want that game for my collection because it looks cool and funny.

Oh, and another thing:
Extreme Beach Volleyball literally exists.

Regardless of how you feel about that game, even just seeing it on a shelf does a lot to the brains of people who have never played DOA.

I’m happy I gave DOA 3 a shot, even after my entire childhood I saw people online dismissing DOA because of bewbs. Turns out there’s a really fun fighting that that also has boobs! Everybody wins!

Play DOA. It’s a good game. :)

"Technically, SPARTAN-458 possesses the biggest bust of the DOA girls, even exceeding that of Honoka's bust size. However, her measurements appear to refer to her dimensions while wearing her MJOLNIR Mk. VI armor."

Seriously though, 3 is the only DoA game I've not played and I've even seen the shitty movie! Looks like it's a pretty dirt cheap game nowadays and it's even backwards compatible with the 360 and up. I didn't remember Ultimate existed either, these games will be obtained through one method or another.

Because the graphics was (and still) one of selling point of game back in day, the jiggle physics was simply in evolutionary leap every game today has one, the jiggle physics for today it's like saying 'and we have 8K' or something like that because it's not only was 3D game it's was super real

Other series has this kind shit, Tekken Nina, snk gal games, and some other I forget but only Extreme succeeded because it, simply to put, was a good game

You ever launch somebody in a DOA game and they fall off a building or a mountain or something? That’s super hype!

Especially if you land that on one of your friends! It’s one of the best parts of the series that TEKKEN, good as it is, is still trying to catch up to. Probably because it has a much bigger competitive base than DOA does and there’s a stigma regarding stage destruction and transitions in competitive games. Too sad. It would make tournaments even more hype if you land that on somebody!

(Thinking about the EVO Japan finals I watched where people got some sick ring outs in Virtua Fighter and I was literally jumping up and down with excitement! So hype!)
