I'm mostly a dub watcher, since that's how I first watched anime. As for anime that isn't dubbed, I've gotten use to looking at the anime, then the subtitles and back to the episode to see what's going on. You could say I just read the subtitles as one big chunk or something like that and then I look at what's going on on screen.
