Do you use DVDs nowadays?

still use dvd and vhs no way i am getting rid of it have to big collection of old games and movies

I watched my Fellowship and Two Towers extended DVDs today.
The best thing about these DVDS is that they were so common that they're really easy to replace.

I swear I've had like 4 copies of Fellowship over the past decade and a half. I got the Blurays as well, but having all of those hours of special features and extra scenes just hits different.

Honestly, I think that's the main argument for a DVD over a Blu-ray. Most Blu-rays don't actually seem to contain anything interesting or fun in the menus. You get a BTS featurette if you're lucky, but on DVD you'd get games, extras, bloopers, the list goes on.

I think it's sort of comparable to early games vs modern games. Yeah, now games are super slick and polished (most of the time), but they don't have the kooky and weird extras like they used to (cheat codes, unlockable extra characters in-game, etc).

I guess as things get more professional, they get less fun.

I got a huge collection of old spanish movies (en plan Antonio Molina, Alfredo Landa, Lola Flores, etc...) from my grandpa that came in with each issue of the newspaper he bought like 20 years ago. So someday I'll get around watching them, I'm so glad to have kept them before any other member of my family could had the opportunity to throw them away lmao, but I wish I could've watched them with my grandpa...

Yes been collecting DC superhero dvds lately donated a few to a book drop where i leave games and dvds for people to find so someone will enjoy the shows i enjoy.

Yes I love it.
What kinda stuff do you collect. Ive a suitcase filled with WWE dvds just need winter to hit properly to sit and chill with them on.

I have no WWE but many action films or anime and series films everything possible.

I have lots of them as a physical collector and for the nostalgia, but I don't actually use them anymore. I don't really use any of my physical media, I just like having them. When I want to actually watch something...

Mmmm... not really

I have some CD-R to write stuff and play Dreamcast games, but on the media stuff, I just buy BR.

I have my CD/DVD reader on my PC, but I will probably upgrade to a BR reader/writer, and get some empty BR to write stuff if I need to.

It's a great thing with DVDs this whole streaming thing is somehow just a rip-off.

If I can't find shows that I want on streaming services, then yea I search for dvds instead.

I used to use DVDs in the past to watch movies, video clips, video games like PS2 and among others, however, after the rise of the digital era, with the passage of time I no longer use DVDs because everything is digitized.

I have some dvd's but I dont use them.
Nowadays I just use pirate streaming sites

I got them but I don't use them. Movies make me sleepy
