Hi, my name is Cristian Cosmefulanito, and in today's episode I wanted to talk about waves.
Some years ago, 6 or 7 more or less, I started watching the Netflix show "Stranger Things" and when I heard the title screen music my brain made sure to store the eargasm I had in order to later remember and make a research about such sound. That was my first encounter, consciously speaking, with synthwave.
So yes, Synthwave, Retrowave, Vaporwave, Chillwave, whateverwave, etc; I was wondering myself if you guys like this subgenre of music.

Here, some tracks:

Some groups emulates the sound of pop/rock music from the 80.

Others are purely instrumental, in this case with a more rhythmic style:

Or a more "dark" and slow rhythm.

This is one of my favorite subgenres in music, I used to listen it a lot in my long sessions of studying/coding since it's perfect for have it as background sound until the thing reach its climax and you are unconsciously headbanging , and/or to just get myself drunk on nostalgia for a couple of hours.
If you like this share some of your favorite tracks please.
That's all for today, this was El Show De Cosmefulanito. Hasta la próxima amigos!

I really like these musical styles, because a lot of it sounds close to video-game music.
If you like the ones that are closer to video-game music sound, I highly recommend listening to the album "Quite Operational" by Monomer which has a nice blend of chipmusic and synthesizers.

Ah, thank you!
