Do you still use wired headphones?

yes i use wired because im scared of wireless signals
There is actually an urban legend in my country about the dangers of wired headphones:

If you walk on the underpass under a train road at midnight using wired headphones a ghost of the underpass holds the wires and entangles around your neck to choke you to death just when a train passes above so no one can hear your screams!!!! To prevent it you gotta use wireless headphones!!!!! lolol

I have several indeed.

In fact I wish Jack ports weren't removed from modern devices.

I'm horribly forgetful with charging stuff in general, so I used wired headphones still. I have a nice over-ear sound blocking pair for gaming, music, and PC stuff, and a few pairs of earbuds for on-the-go use.

I was pro-wired until I got a pair of wireless, over-the-ear, noise-cancelling headphones. They're the best pair of headphones I've ever used: perfect for use in loud environments and in the long run, protects my hearing because I don't have to raise the volume too loud to hear my music over the background noise.

The ideal is having headphones with a jack port so you could still use it as a wired one.

Always. I typically lose the wireless ones, though id also prefer when the cord isn’t too long.

Of course i use them when chilling on pc. Tho i have this thing that headphones im using for a phone dont last long (doesnt matter if they are wired or not)

Wireless earbuds are convenient for general use. But for rhythm games at least, I go with wired over Bluetooth for latency concerns.

I seldom use headphones though, since I prefer not to have anything on top of my head. I prefer earphones/earbuds. Currently, I'm using wired IEMs with my MP3 players.

I still haven't switched to wireless headphones! Probably never will, at least completely, but I'll get a wireless pair soon as my new phone doesn't have a jack port, in the last few weeks I've been pondering and researching which model to buy and there are so many options, some models even offer usb-c connection cables and that's really nice, I mainly want to try wireless for convenience but I don't want to sacrifice audio quality, no music is better than bad music and I can't live without ::booshy

I've been using the Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro (80 ohm) as my daily drivers for the last 2 years now and I love them so much, I also own a pair of IEMs that I haven't used as much, the Shure SE215 Pro K, as I very much prefer over-ear and closed back headphones, in-ear are still quite new to me and they don't feel as good, though they're useful if you gotta move a lot.

not only do i still use wired headphones, i was using those big stereo headphones when everybody was using those tiny earplugs to listen to music years ago, now everybody is wearing the big headphones.

I'll get a wireless pair soon
Update, I finally got my wireless headphones! First impressions under spoiler as not to take too much space:
It only took me a month of research before deciding on which model to get :loldog and I gotta say I'm quite impressed (this is also my first wireless pair ever), they're super comfy even with glasses and their clamp is not hurting my ears at all, yet they barely move. Sound quality is okay, I'll set my own EQ later though 'cause the in-app one is a little limited for my tastes, the touch controls are pretty darn fine and responsive and that's really reassuring as I was a little hesitant because of them, I was ready to return them but so far I'm happy with the purchase ::terriermon-happy
All those other features like the ANC and the transparency are very, veeeeeeery good, I will have to test them in a busier environment but I'll definitely keep them for home usage at least, my hearing is so sentive that I never leave the house without a pair of headphones, and still at home I jump at every sound ::nervous-prinny
I wanted to buy the brown model as it looked so classy but their price was double these, so ::cirnoshrug

I have wired earbuds for my PC, but I use AirPods for everything else. Having the wired earbuds for my PC is the best option because I use them the most out of everything and they never have to be charged because they're wired. Alas, they're very cheap (they have this strange issue where after using them a lot in the day one of the earbuds is a lot quieter - it's fixed by the next morning, only to happen again. Very weird) and I need to get new ones.

Picture this:

It's 1994 and my dad had just bought a Walkman, something he had been wanting to get for a really long time.

And what's the first thing he does upon getting it out of the box? He shoves the headphones right on top of my head (barely big enough to hold them) while he puts on a tape to play -- I'm so mesmerized by the whole thing that he even takes a picture of my awestruck face... one of my earlier surviving photographs.

Years later, I'd get to own that devise myself as my dad's interest moved onto bigger and shiner things on his endless pursuit to be on the forefront of the never-ending tech race of the nineties and early aughts.

But that awesome gift did little more than revealing something I had been blissfully unaware of the entire time:

WIRED HEADPHONES SUCKED!

I'll admit that I had noticed how my dad had gone through several sets during my childhood, but I had largely shrugged it off as an stylistic choice (he always bought the most whimsical pairs he could get his hands on), but the ones I have gotten with my machine wasted no time committing all "sins" at once: buzzed with interference, got cutoff whenever I moved even a little bit, and eventually just ended up working on only one side.

This has happened a lot in the years since and it's effectively what got me to embrace wired headphones for cell phone, even though wireless ones have their own sets of problems AND I love the look and feel of an old pair of wired ones.

What about you? Do you still use wired headphones or moved on from them the second we got an alternative?
Wired headphones can be such a hassle, with tangles, one side cutting out, and interference. It’s almost a rite of passage for anyone who grew up with them. I moved on to wireless pretty quickly for daily use because the convenience outweighs the nostalgia. That said, I still keep a wired pair around for things like recording or when battery life is an issue. There’s something satisfying about that old-school feel, but in practice, wireless just makes life easier. For me, wired is more of a backup or a sentimental throwback than a daily go-to.

I don't like wireless anything and I'm still mad that cell phones don't have that 3.5mm jack for wired headphones anymore

Need them for school and this laptop because I don't want to fuckup the only pair of wireless headphones I solely use for my phone
