Do you still use wired headphones?

Spike makes a great point about quality; bluetooth, by nature of digitizing a (most likely) already digitized signal will inevitably introduce [more] aliasing to the signal.
I'll go ahead and add that, while mostly benign, prolonged exposure to close proximity wave emissions of any kind can be hazardous. So I opt for not bombarding the area around my brain with them, lol.

Wired all the way, my friend ::thumbsupwario

I haven't used proper headphones in some time but they were wireless when I did. But not 3.5", it was on a receiver that had an adapter thing that was a bigger version of that and the 3.5" plugged into it? It was years ago so it's fuzzy.
Currently still roll with an ipod that has the 3.5" jack and used wired earbuds for that, they're probably the least expensive thing apple still makes available, and that's great for me.

really good battery life I have to say (Only have to charge them once every 2 weeks).
Damn! I'd literally kill for something like that lol.

Battery life hasn't been kind of me.

for DJ beat-matching and music production you want as low latency as possible... so bluetooth is a no-go there for a long time...
And if you think about it.. you would not want avoidable input and output latency in a game too so.. yeah.. always wired.. unless i'm just enjoying some music playback... or movie where the latency is synced up again with a delay to match

In theory wireless is good because they are not weak because of "once the cable is fucked you need to buy a new headphone". However I came up with a better idea:

My solution is using headphone that uses a removable AUX cable. So I bought meself a hybrid headphone that can work via its battery and also you can insert an AUX cable to it. It's extremely helpful in any condition whatsoever. You can use it while you walking via battery power, and if you are in a situation cable won't ruin anything for you you can plug cable to your phone and whatnot. I like this versatility!!!

For 145 $ I can buy a studio quality wired headphones, I don't get electric notices, I don't need to stop to charge, I don't have to change the battery every year, I don't have sound delay, I don't get interference with the WiFi signal, I can continue but I think my point is clear.
I have a Sony wireless bud for my phone and is great but it cost me 180$, I bought cheaper ones but they have most of the problems I said, electric notices, interference, battery duration, delays.
"Electric notices", I fkng hate to write on the phone, this automatic correction is so fkng annoying, how in hell electric noises correct to electric notices, this is annoying as hell.

Most of the time, I'm using wireless earbuds. It's just way too convenient to pass up. No tangled wires to deal with, and most devices only have USB-C so Bluetooth makes sense so I can charge my phone while listening to music, or something.

I use wired headphones for gaming, because I mostly play rhythm games. The delay is too great on Bluetooth - even at a mere 100ms - for Project Diva on Extra-Extreme difficulty.

I use both, but they are situational....

If I am cleaning the house, working on a computer, etc. I use my wireless headphones so the cord doesn't get in the way. And it's fairly hard to pack a laptop around and use the vacuum cleaner at the same time. <i don't wear anything with pockets on them around the house so...>

If I'm not going to be moving and doing work or something, Wired all the way, I actually detest the wireless ones.

They sound good, but I dunno, I just don’t think they sound as good as the wired ones.

I use a pair of wired earbuds that I found in an old room at my granny's house lol, they'll stop working any day now.

My verdict is that wireless is better if im gonna do something physically demanding (gym, running, etc), and wired is better when im just vibing since I don't need to worry about charges (right now I only got a wired one, though).

I pretty much exclusively use wired. Tried wireless/Bluetooth for a short while and there was always some issue with the pairing and protocol setups. A pair of regular IEMs are usually pretty cheap compared to wireless ones.

I'm also of the mindset that stuff like getting rid of the headphone jack on virtually every new sound device is basically an attempt to create a proprietary, locked down ecosystem that forces you to stay (and therefor pay) in theirs. Apple with the AirPods comes to mind (I'm aware you can use other wireless headphones with iPhones. The intent is still there nonetheless).

With a 3.5mm jack, I have significantly more choice to mix and match how I want.

I use both wired and wireless headphones on Android 11 phone and my potato iPhone(outdated but not obsolete cuz its still got iOS update just last Saturday)

Yeah i use wireless headph-*BATTERY LOW* for *DISCONNECTED* and also for *CONNECTED* until *POWER OFF*
